SOURCE: ryobi bt 3000 table saw belt installation diagram

The BT3000 actually has TWO v-belts! Here's a link at the end of this solution to an exploded diagram. Basically you have a major disassembly, but it really isnt that complicated.

More great info on the BT3000 is available from the web site http://bt3000.com/

I have a BT3100 saw, and it is a good tool, but does require attention in maintenance procedures, but Ryobi did outline the necessary steps in their manuals. The above website also has the owner manual if you need one.

  1. Unplug saw
  2. Remove the blade
  3. Lower mechanism all the way to the bottom
  4. Flip over saw and lay on it's top
  5. Remove the blade guard panel opposite the motor
  6. Unbolt the motor assembly and remove the belt cover
  7. Replace the broken belts
  8. Re-assemble (be careful not to cross-thread the bolts in the aluminum housings!)

SOURCE: I have a 10'' table saw

If it cuts straight it's fine. It's likely just some play in the bearings. I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts to cut not so straight...

SOURCE: table saw overheats triping braber.

Usually a saw that size will have it's own breaker built in, is this the one that is tripping? Or is it the one on the wall? Either way, a dull blade will make the saw work harder, and heat up faster, Mine trips off now and then, always from a dull blade. It has a built in breaker in the switch. Are you running it with a cord? Make sure it is heavy enough, a small cord will steal amperage from the circuit turning a 20 amp breaker into a 15. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I turned the table saw

Is the belt still on? Does the motor's weight hang smoothly down on the belt to keep tension?

If it's a belt driven system you may need to replace it. Belts slip an get frozen in spots an hard. They also get glazed over. Turn it over an be sure all the bolts are in the correct place an not coming off. Belts are a big problem if it's set up for awhile unused.

How do i service my p pro table saw modal clm1500tss

That belt is really tight. If the old one is ragged, cut it off. Then the answer is to warm the new belt in hot/boiling water for 30 mins to soften the rubber. The belt will become more malleable and you will be able to slip the belt over the motor and drive wheels with a flat bladed srewdriver.

The belt will tighten itself as it cools down and dries out.

Be extremely careful when lifting the belt from hot water. Avoid scalding by using tongs or other suitable implements to handle it and wear gloves when fitting it in place. Place the belt over the top pulley first and then around the motor pulley.

Good luck.

10 inch table saw blade not square with table

Sounds like the bolts that hold the motor assembly on the table may be loose allowing the blade assembly to move. Look underneath the table and clean out all the dirt and loosen all the hold down bolts and realign the blade and tighten back up.

I was recently given and older Craftsman 10" table sawa. It worked great for cuttin some 2x4 and now all of a sudden it will only cut part way7 and than stops, and it smokes--Help!!

The problem could be one of the following:
1) dull blade, in which case replace with a carbide-toothed blade
2) underpowered or old/faulty electric motor
3) faulty/worn belt, in which case replace with new belt
4) The pulley on either the motor or the saw arbor (where the pulley attaches underneath the saw near blade) could be loose. Tighten down set screw.
5) The saw fence isn't set straight causing the wood to jam as you push it into the blade. Check this with a framing square and readjust so it is at a 90-degree angle to the front of the saw table.

How do I change blade non model 2708 table saw?

You should have a stamped metal box-end wrench that came with the saw. Place it over the blade retaining nut, and drive the motor belt by hand to allow the wrench to tap on the table behind the blade. This will loosen the nut so that it can be removed by hand (this is a left-hand thread situation). Tightening the nut is the reverse operation and it is not necessary to drive the nut tight with a hammer--it will tighten enough during saw operation. A safety manual will say to remove power from the machine when doing this! Hope this helps!

Pulley on motor tilted to left and belt keeps coming off

jim, Yes. The motor should be mounted to a bracket with 4 bolts. Loosen these, align the pulleys, then tighten the bolts. You can see the four elongated holes in the base of the motor at the following page. Scroll down until you see the 9 product diagrams. The one labeled "Motor" shows the four holes in the base of the motor.

10'' bench drill press model DP200 WON'T START

The belt has either come off the pulley or the belt is slipping. Open th top access hatch and check the belts . If belt is off replace and tighten , if it is just loose tighten the belt.If it is not the belt and the motor is humming but not turning you will need to replace the motor's starting capacitor.Good luck and please don't forget to rate this answer, Thanks
