Question about Televison & Video
I recently purchased a used Trent portable DVD player PD-3090. We set it up and it turned on and everything in the start up was fine, but when we placed a DVD in it says it's loading however it doesn't play the disc. The seller states that before shipping he tested the player and it worked fine. However the way he shipped it was lacking in cushioning and was not marked fragile so I believe something may have been thrown out of whack or damaged during shipping. Is there anyway to diagnose and then repair the problem?

The solution for your problem will be needing a little knowledge with electronic repair and hands on.Most common problem for portable DVD player is their 1) Spindle motor the 2) flex cable ( tin ribbon wire connecting the optic lens and the main board)
note: to check if your spindle motor is working good, you must measure it's resistance and it should be around 200ohms.
For the flexcable all you have to do is check the continuity.
