The water supply hoses at the back of the machine connect to a vatervalve. The watervalve has screens that can become clogged with lyme and other debris after a time. Usually cleaning the screens will solve a slow water fill issue. If no improvement replace the watervalve. Go to www.searspartsdirect.com type your model # into the long search bar. To the right is a short search bar, choose model# in the drop down. Click "search." find the exploded view with watervalve (usually in the "cabinet" view, i think) match the number of part with list at right of page.
Hope this helps.

Washer fills extremely slow. Hoses are fine water

Hi, check to see if there's good water volume coming through the hoses attached to the washing machine. If there is, check to see if the screens inside the water-inlet valve are clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If they're clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you should completely replace the valve.

Amana washer has no hot water - cold works fine

There is a solenoid control valve on all washing machines, located where the water hoses enter the machine. If you have a rubber mallet, you can whack the machine gently with the mallet. If the problem is resolved, it was just a stuck valve. If not, then you likely will need to replace the whole solenoid valve control. Typically there are controls for each water supply.
