Fuse on my jvc cd portable system, model. Rd n1 keeps blowing

Fuses blow when there is an overload. It could be caused by a short circuit device in the power supply, but more likely the main power amp device(s) has failed. They will be located on a big heat sink.

The jvc UX-GP5 has no charge power to the ipod

Put a golf ball behind your Ipod, this will push the connections down. I had the same problem after 4 years of use and the golf ball has been working great for the past 5 years.

Cassette player works fine, then screeches after 20-30 minutes.

Yeppers very common problem .. If the noise dosent come from the speakers then the problem is in the motor in the cassette deck. if the problem comes from the speakers when the deck is playing a tape, then the problem is in the record/playback switch. you may beable to fix it by spraying just a lttle bit of tuner cleaner inside the switch. It shouldnt cost much to have a repair shop do this as if you spray too much your going to ruin the belts and the mechanism. Good Luck
