I bought this modem overseas and brought it over to Fiji, but the modem does not seem to be able to detect the Fiji Network. The local internet company sells the exact model, so i don't see why this should not work. i have updated the firmware, but to no avail. the network in Fiji does not use the uim card, so i don't think the modem could be locked to a network of some sort when i bought it.help me please
Re: Huawei EC325 wireless modem not detecting network
Not compatible for fiji network. try to call their customer support. some isp is using mac addressing for clients for connectivity, means if its true then the mac address of your modem is unknown to fiji network.

It seems you are having issues with the router. As you've said your PC can detect other wireless networks except for wireless network that you're supposed to connect into. Try contacting the technical support team of the manufacturer of your router so that they can check it out, it might be a defective router.
If you have a exterior modem from a company like at&t or verizon, you don't need a router. The modem will work for your wired connection and to laptops wireless. You just need to change settings on the computer,or call the phone company and they will talk you through it.Take the router back and get your money for it.
When you change the WPA encryption in the wireless router, you also need to configure the wireless card in the computer with these settings.
Please click in this link to secure your wireless network, configure the wireless router and the wireless card in the computer and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security
Please note that the USB Modem will not cause issues related to IP address conflict(NAT behing NAT)
You need to mak sure that the USB modem is compatible with this router. As per the compatibility list this modem is comaptible. http://www.netgear.com/Landing/en-us/3G_uSB_Modems
Please reset the router once and then upgrade the firmware on the router which can be downloaded from thelink below:
You should start by having everything off then power up the modem and wait for all the lights to come on then power on the router after all the lights come on then turn on your pc. If you are not getting these results I would reset the modem and the router and then follow the instructions above. Resetting the modem and router will revert then to the default settings, that might be helpful to start with fresh settings.
Question: Is this for your laptop?
