Question about HP Compaq Evo n800c Notebook
Im trying to put a new hard drive in mycompaq evo n 800c and it says that there is no hard disk drives so im not shure what i need to do
Make sure that you put the h/d in all the way so that it is seated firm if thats not it you will have to use a small jumper on the 2 pins that do not go into the caddy adaptor try the out side one first this puts in slave mode the next one puts it in cable select mode

Wich message that show "there is no hard disk drives"
if in win XP
when the setup is loading driver it's will ask for SATA/RAID driver
you must press F6 then insert your SATA driver with USB floppy drive
or install XP with something like unattended installer with SATA driver included
or if it's shown in BIOS
probably your harddrive is broken
and you must replace it
or claim your warranty
note: ask your OEM
