MY CANDY DRYER IS NOT ROTATING

Hi there,
Well first of all you may check out the Door Switch if it's defective then your dryer is not able to spin, it may interfere with your dryer drum's ability to tumble. Test your dryer's door switch. If it is no longer functioning than you need to replace it. you need a multimeter to check it. Post further comments for more help or information......

Good Luck!!

The motor works when plugged in,but the drum dose not spin,is it the fan belt?.

The problem is the drum belt is either off the drum or broken. To access this area to see the cause you will need to remove the back of the dryer and everything is right there.

Good Luck on your repairs Hope this helped you

Very noisy when spinning

Hi,
The reason for your candy dryer to make noise while spinning is that it could have something in the lint trap that pulls out of the top. Sometimes items fall down it there and make a loud scraping noise. If it is a squealing noise you will need to replace the rollers and belt pulley. They are sold in a kit and can be ordered with the model number.

If the dryer has a bearing at the back of the unit that could be bad or the glide under the front lip of the tub could be worn out and need to be replaced. Each unit requires different techniques to remove the parts but they are not super hard to get into and parts suppliers can get you pictures or diagrams.

Candy CMD146 Washer Dryer drum spins but does not heat

Yes it could be the heating element. However, it could be the thermal overload switch. This is located under the top of the machine. Bypass it to see if works. If it does, then it is the switch. If not, check the element. It sounds like this is the element with the 2 yellow wires. You will need to pull it to visually check to see if it is burned in 2.Check the element first since you have easier access to it. Let me know how this works.

Candy cdc 266

your belt is probably broken, or your motor is bad, the motor and belt not only turn the drum, but also the fan that moves air out of your dryer so if it cannot move, the dryer gets hot and it thinks this is because the lint trap is full
