I have the same computer with the same problem. I believe the problem is more likely a bad capacitor(s). Look inside your system and check if any of the capacitors are deformed? On my system two capacitors located at the bottom right, just below the memory cards appear to be bad.

Hi, I have this computer, although I can't say I've had a problem like that. Before you do anything else, I would recommend replacing the motherboard's battery. It may not fix your problem, but @ about $3 or $4, it's worth a shot. If that doesn't fix the problem, I agree to check the motherboard for signs of bad capacitors. The power supply on these PCs is more than adequate unless you have a lot of add-ons; so it's possible to be a problem but not likely. If you have access to another power supply, try hooking it up and see if it takes care of the problem. If not, the power switch or mobo is the next thing to check. Fortunately, any/all of these components should be relatively cheap if you know what to look for. Please let us know what happens!

I have this problem as well. I cannot even get to where I can press F8 for safe mode. I assumed the problem occured afer running a registry scan and clean, which I left running overnight. I had to replace the power supply about 6 months ago because of fried capacitors (actually desoldered from the circuit board!). Had run fine since then until this started. Computer just keeps rebooting. I suspect that there is a problem with several capacitors on the MOBO since they are showing signs of heat damage (black residue on the tops). I figure I will eventually get around to trying replacing them, but for now I bought a new computer. does anyone know which socket this CPU uses? I may just try a new MOBO.

I had the same problem with the same computer. Try this as it worked for me. Simply boot up and hold down the F8 key which will give you safemode options. Then choose last known good configuration. This solved the problem of continous re booting.

Replace your power supply. then maybe your power switch. if neither of those options work, then you have a bad virus

How to fix a Medion m3 Composer 5200 that want start

It may seem to have power because the power lights are one voltage and a lot of other stuff is another. Thus, one voltage may work and the others not. First step, beg, borrow, or buy a power supply and replace the one you have. Power supplies are as little as $15.00 so it's not going to break the bank. Once you've replaced the PS you may find all things working...if not then reseat the RAM and CPU, disconnect everything but the power supply and RAM and test. If it works reconnect each disconnected item until it doesn't work. If, once you've disconnected everything but the ps, ram and cup, it doesn't work you will probably need to take it to a repair place as it's probably the main board.

I want to change my power suply, mine has got very noisey over the last year, works fine but noisey please reconmend a good up grade make and model or severial 450 to 800 watts I have the medion m3 composer...

Corsair 550VX (550watts and in my opinion the best PSU in it's class)
Or Corsair 450VX which is a 450 watt version and probably more than you need but not over-kill either. I have used a 450VX in my own system on a Quad Core 125 watt AMD Phenom Processor, 3 hard drives, 8 USB Ports, 5 case fans, 2 DVD burners, etc.. without any problems for years. They are guaranteed for five years from the manufacturer.

Please I have a MEDION M3 Composer 5200 PC Desktop that was operating on windows vista. I changed the operating system to windows xp SP3 for teaching basis and I have been searching for its VGA and Audio...

Here's a link to the Medion driver/support download page, I tried searching for M3, 5200 and Composer but had no results so I'd suggest you try searching by the MSN as recommended to increase your chances. Don't know if you've tried this but you could always right click on the device within control panels device manager and select the update driver software option to let Windows download one if you don't have any luck with the Medion site. Hope you get it fixed.
