Question about Fujitsu AMILO M-6500 Notebook

1 Answer

Stiffy drive don't respond and DVD Rom spin but don't read CD.

There is no respond when you insert a stiffy in the drive.
When you insert a CD in the DVD Rom drive it spins for sometime, starts slowly then speed up and stop and start again. When you click on the drive icon it prompts you to inserts a CD.

Try different discs to determine whether it's the disc or the drive. If it's the drive the the lens on drive might be dirty, try cleaning it with proper "Cleaning CD" if that doesn't help the drive it self might be going out (as in the mechanical parts on the drive). In the later case the only solution is buy a new drive.
