SOURCE: how to calculate

It's very simple: the calculators have a default base 10 so that log x it's log x base 10 so here is some logs:
log x base y = log x / log y
log (x*y) = log x + log y
log (x/y) = log x - log y
Hope it's helped

How to darken sharp el-520w contrast?

Hi there,

If it can be done, you need to press SETUP then choose CTRST and use your left and right arrow keys to adjust the darkness of the digits on the screen. Unfortunately, some of the older models do not have this ability so if you do not find that that menu option it means that you cannot do it on the calculator.

EL 531X Sharp - Help with calculations

You need a SHARP with Write-View display capabilities. The EL-531X is unable to show that. The Write-View calculators from Shard have a W, example EL-W516 followed by Write-View. Not to be confused with the W in EL-520W

How do i get rid of the "p" on my sharp caculator. I have a EL-520W

On the back of the calculator, there is a little "reset" hole. Use a pen and press it into that hole for a few seconds, then release. You should now be able to turn on your calculator as if it was brand new from factory without the "p".

Adjusting the tiome is just like adjusting the date, owith the only difference that you just enter two values (hours and minutes):

1. Move the Grand Total/ Rate Setting mode selector to the "Rate Set" "position
2. Enter the time in the orde of hour, minutes (use a point to separate the two values) and then presse the [Clock/Calendar] button to complete the entry.
