Press the reset button on the bottom of the camera. Then power the camera off, and power it back on again.
"I have a DSC-P50 and was encountering the same problem. I went in to the camera set-up mode with the memory stick removed and changed serveral options (Don't remember which ones, although I do remember trying to change the "Format" setting) When I re-inserted the memory stick, the camera worked. That is auto focus error. See solution here.

If that does not work, you need a repair shop.

When i press the on button, it make a funny noise and says lens error, resart camera but i dont know how to restart it

It means turn it off and on again, but this probably won't help. You get this message with a lens error, problem with focussing/zooming or whatever. Usually means there is grit in the mechanism or it has been damaged by a knock.

Hi i just bought a canon eos rebel from someone online and it has a 28-80 lens. I try to use it and i noticed the focus is very loose, is that normal? I dont know alot about cameras but i have used manual...

Your camera is primarily an autofocus model: manual focussing is very much a secondary feature and is always very free moving. If it were any other way then it would cause the AF motor to work much harder and dramatically shorten the battery life.

As a result, accurate and fast manual focussing is harder to achieve and is not helped by the lack of a any focussing aids such as a split circle and microprism collar. It's not impossible though, and the increased depth of field when shooting at anything other than maximum aperture allows a bit of leeway for any errors. Just make sure on your camera to switch off the AF if you do wish to manually focus.

How can I get this camera to show the wrinkles on a human face?

Are you saying that the pics you get from this camera are out of focus? Have you tried using a tripod? Are you sure you're focussing on the wrinkles and not the nose?

My Sony H1 has stopped focussing.. It does not auto focus and cannot be manually focussed either

HI, you can just get the focus option back on your device by just resetting the Camera to the default settings.

Follow the steps below to reset your device..

Go to Setup-1 Menu
select Initialize
Select Reset the camera to defaults
Select OK or YES when it prompts.

this gets the focus option back on. .

Camera B error for crystal XL 40

You are right, it is very likely!. These type of scanners either use multiple cameras or use multiple mirrors to break a segment into a focussable area and do electronic stitching. (Electronic stitching is another painful area, the scanner has to 'create' a true image removing duplicate pixels). Also with Lens there is focal length aberration. Please note even the brochure carries the statement, "Torsion stabilised" suggesting that it is succeptible for misalignment. The mirrors are kept in position by rubber pads and tiny springs, but rubber pads being sensitive atmospheric variations, there can be focussing issues. Unfortunately you cant even kick the scanner accidentally or on purpose!

Focussing

Two possible solutions. The camera may be set to Macro. The lens may have failed. If the camera is not set to macro then the lens has to be replaced and the camera reprogrammed.
