By video set, I'm assuming you mean a CD/DVD player or a VCR. Normally, these are set to play on channel 3 or 4. Connect the cables that came with it either according to color, or if it just looks like one round cable, connect it to "OUT" on the player and "ANT" on the TV. If you have the colored plugs, Red out to Red in, Yellow out to Yellow in, White out to White in. Turn your TV to one of these channels and try the player. If it doesn't work, try the other channel. When you get it working, you will probably have extra wires. They're to allow for different types of installations.

How do i fix the video cassette recorder. It sometimes plays, other times it eats the tape.

It is actually because your set is an old one. Try cleaning the entire set before use. Use a cotton towel n spirit. Or else try buying a new one.

You try to play the video tape or DVD. If picture still snowy, the picture tube is getting old. Buy a new one, do not repair it will cost almost a new set.

If you could change channels with a remote, you probably don't have, and never had, a dial which you rotated to change channels. There should be buttons on the front of the set, one or two of which will change the set from game mode to tv receive mode. Turn the set on and just try pushing one button at a time until you hit the right one. If you don't see any such buttons, there is a panel on the front that is covering them. Either open the panel by hand or push on the panel and it will spring open and reveal the buttons.
Good Luck.

The handle on my daewoo microwve over the range model#KOT-210UW broke off and was looking for a new one - can you help - Its about 14 years old?

I would contact either Magic Chef or Daewoo for a new part, if it is still available after so long.

I would try these numbers, plus any they might recommend:

Daewoo
877-393-2725
800-553-4355
800-323-9668

Magic Chef
888-775-0202

Good luck!

We're happy to help you and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Green Picture

The problem sounds like one I had. If so, the cause is as follows.

The Daewoo ouputs synchronisation information on the green channel of the RGB outputs (which are pins in the SCART socket) The Panasonic TV automatically preferentially selects the RGB input in the SCART rather than the composite video signal in the SCART. The video circuits in the Panasonic should ignore the sync on the green channel but instead interpret the sync as green signal information which means the adjustment of the green channel is upset leading to a very green picture.

Possible solutions:
1. From the TV, manually select composite video input, not RGB. This may not be possible - I think the TV automatically goes for the RGB if it is present.
2. Disconnect the wire to pin 16 in the SCART socket. This is the signal from the VCR/DVD to indicate that RGB is available. Disconnecting it means the TV defaults to the composite video. This is what I did.
3. Connect the TV to the VCR/DVD using component or S-VHS leads only.

Channel set

Apparently your TV is set to the "standard TV" position. Before you auto program your set, set it to the cable mode and then do the autoprogramming. In the standard TV setting, you just get off the air channels 2-13 vhf and 14-83 uhf.where as in the cable mode you get vhf channels 2-13 plus your cable channels. Stargazer
