We are not associated with any manufacturer. We only offer free service assistance. Ice formation indicates insufficient air flow. Clean or replace your air filter. Make sure you do not have unit set to draw in outside air while operating. This should be a Fix-Ya for your air conditioner.

Are you sure that they are correct about the o ring. Most times the ac needs a re-charging and you can find what you need to do this at any auto store and i believe walmart. It worked for us and now we have the kit for others when necessary.

I have a question on Coleman AC

First of all, an extension cord and GFI receptacle to run an AC unit will almost always blow either GFI or circuit breaker or both due to large current draw from AC unit. If an extension cord needs to be used, keep it as short as possible, and use the heavier gauge that is approved for AC use. What happens when you use an extension cord, is the voltage drop that will happen by the time the AC gets power. With any voltage drop, the amperage draw increases, so a 15 amp circuit breaker will most likely trip. Nowadays, all AC units are wired with a minimum 12 gauge wire rated for 20 amps.
You say nothing is happening now, is that to say that the fan only mode doesn't work on the AC unit either?

Heat/AC unit in working order, plugged in 20Amp outlet.. no fan?

Hi1
Do you have at least 200 volts at your outlet? Check that first. You said you brought it home from work, so when you plugged it in at home did you plug it into a 120 volt recepticle?

If your AC only works when it is cool outside, then you probably have a dirty condenser coil, you're overcharged on refrigerant or the outdoor fan is not running at full speed.

AC not cooling during the day

Your AC cooling efficiency is low when he ambient temperature is high and naturally it cools well when the outside temperature drops.

Please remove the filter on the grill and try to clean it under the tap water and after removing all the dust fix it back to the unit. This would increase the cooling efficiency of the unit.

Your AC is also five years old. Please avoid frequent opening of doors or windows.

Ensure that the exhaust fan and the blower of your unit are functioning normal.

The technician might not have done a proper job in fixing the area where the refrigerant would have leaked out. Please check the refrigerant pressure to ensure that no further refrigerant leak has taken place. Or even servicing your unit he would have punchered the tubes resulting in very slow leak of refrigerant resulting in no cooling or less cooling. It takes around a month to feel the pinch of it and the refrigerant. One fine morning after sometime the unit will run and it would start throwing hot air instead of cool breeze!

AC not cooling

On any new appliance, if you get it home and it doesn't work:
1. Read the user's manual, (That's a good boy!)
2. Immediately return it to the selling dealer.
3. Contact a factory authorized servicer. If you can't locate 1 then contact us and let us find 1 in your area.
3a. DO NOT attempt to service the unit!!! All new appliances come with a factory warranty and any unauthorized work on the unit will void the warranty.
Tip: Always provide the complete information provided on the manufacturers product information data tag, located on the unit, and not in the user’s manual. This will help you acquire a more accurate and expeditious response to your complaint.

A complaint for repairing of AC.

Not all retailers maintain a service support staff. They sell at a cheaper price for this reason. You pay a higher amount of money for an item when the business has a service support staff and you get service when you need it. You stated that your system is a split system which requires connections of piping and electrical between the outside unit and the cooling end inside. Whom did the installation?
