My player won't turn on. when i press the power button it powers up then shuts down immediately and now it won't come on at all.

I fixed my DMR-ES10 with a new capacitor. You can tell if it is a capacitor because it will be bulged or exploded and stuff will be leaking out.

Lock message

Hi!
My DMR-ES10 appears since last month, the same message, and lets myself crazy!

Today, after a desperate try, pressing the buttons, I found the solution:

Simple press the POWER BUTTON and STOP BUTTON of the unit for a few seconds...

VOILá: The UNLOCK message appears in the display and the unit return to operate without the lock message !!!

For Lock again, press the same buttons at same way until appears the Lock message in the display.

This is an undocumented command...

I hope to help you!

Panasonic dmres10 dvd recorder showing ' x hold '

This is the child lock feature, to stop unwanted use of the unit. Using your remote control, hold down 'enter' and 'return' until a message is displayed.
