The halogen lamp of my Axia by Faber disfunctions because of the fact that the contact between lamp and the fitting is brown as a result of many years cooking underneath. Sometimes it burns, sometimes not. Can I clean that easely or do I have to replace the fitting of the lamp?

The lamp power in these is a VERY clever switching supply that does NOT start
driving untill a load is placed on it. It tickles the lamp and when relay
closes it senses the load and fires up to typically 240 watts. The COMMON
problem is that with a known good lamp installed, the socket contacts have
burned and do not contact the pins of the lamp. The socket pins are hidden
beneath a micalex cover and the fact they are burned away is NOT obvious.
Replace the socket with one rated at 12 amps. These are hard to find but they
you can try a low voltage halogen lamps. now they had became a new trent in the automobile industries.so that you can use it without starting the vehicle. or you can fit the led lamps it is more cheaper than halogen lamps.

The more I worked with it, the more I discovered that the real problem was that a screw was not all the way screwed in and it was preventing the panel from sliding. Another problem I may have is finding the glass covered halogen bulb.
There are 2 , 150 watt halogen lamps in the drum heater assembly. One or both are burned out. I can send you instructions on how to replace them. Xerox will want over $250 for an entire heater assembly. You can buy the lamps at Lowes or any place that sells Halogen lamps for around $15 for a set.
Check the room you´re playing in for InfraRed sources, strong lamps such as halogen type lamps emmit high IR radiation(heat), also mirrors shiny windows and sunlight can interfeer with the wiimotes IR sensitive CCD, try to eliminate as many of the IR sources as possible.
Hope this helps
