Circuit boards are very easy to mess up, and usually if something like that happens, other dammage that is not easily visible can occur. Thoroughly inspect the board for anything that looks unusual. Something else in the board may be fried along with a list of other potential problems. The bus (small metal strips on the bottom) may be broken or shorted as well. If it is an expensive card, you can take it to a repair shop and they can possibly fix it (no guarantee) or you will probably have to replace the card. If you have any other questions, let me know.
