Hello you can download a manual here:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/P5KPLAM/#download

By selecting your windows system.

Open the manual folder and click on global for download.

Your mainboard is a socket 775, and the fan could be blocked if the cooling element is not fitted correctly.
You are probably useing the most common fan/cooling element :

This fan is a piece of sh..
My advice is to buy a better fan/cooling element online for better cooling capabilities.
You can buy this online, or in a computer shop.

The fan must be connected to the 3 pin connector CPU_FAN not the SYS_FAN on the mainboard, so the bios can control the speed, when it gets hot.

Always remember to renew the thermal cooling paste, when remowing the cpu fan.

Good luck

Ok, If you go to your thermostat and turn the fan switch to ON from AUTO, does the fan operate?
If so you have proven you have both high and low voltage, saving you the need to check breakers, fuses etc.
If they are good check on your circuit board in your furnace for a 3 amp automotive type fuse, it may be blown, if no fuse equipped the transformer may need to be tested with a voltmeter.

1985 new yorker cooling fan won't operate.

could be a bad coolant tempurature sensor if radiater cooling fan does not work, or a bad relay for fan in fuse box for the fan.. if all is ok ! disconnect fan at the connectors. on the motor side, run a wire from positive on battery, to pos itive fan motor. ground other wire to negative on battery. if the fan works its ok. good-day ! check relay and fuse for the fan first.
