Network Failure for update version 1.82 for Ps3

Are you a Sony EU user? There is a problem with Sony EU servers that Sony needs to address. The EU update server is not providing the multiplayer patch to its users. sony has been contacted but are not doing anything to resolve the issue. Sony is pointing the finger at IG, and IG is pointing at Sony. People who care about RFOM need to speak up to Sony and make them fix this issue as its been going on for 3-4 months now! If enough people speak up to Sony EU supervisors, maybe they will push to fix the update servers!

The sites and clients you are trying to watch movies from updated to a more recent version of flash. Sony will have to release a firmware update that contains the latest version for your PS3 to be able to run these movies. Keep checking the firmware updates, and keep your PS3 up to date or watch the webcasts on your PC.

Try this and if it doesn't work let me know and we will go a different route.

1. Start your PlayStation 3's web browser. You can do this by navigating to the "Network" category on your PS3's main menu and selecting the "Internet" option.
   

2. Point your web browser to a website that uses Flash. YouTube, at www.youtube.com, is a good example.
3. Let the page load. Depending on your Internet connectio, this could take a few seconds.
4. Click "OK" when the box reading "Install Missing Plugin" appears on screen. As Flash comes pre-installed on the PS3, this will update you to the latest version of Flash. You will know the update is complete when YouTube videos then begin to load.

Try updating your PS3 system online with the most recent firmware update available, I think it is version 3.30.

Updates usually fail due to site being down and they are making a new version.Try again in a week or so.

Well first dont play the game first. At the menu go to settings, then system update. Try both via Internet and via Meadia storage. It will probaly work.

yes its abnormal..it should be done quite soon..the download is typically 120MB or so..do check your internet and network connections..if your updating via thumb drive etc make sure you have the right version for the update and have followed the procedure for the update...do check the ps3 website for more details..hope it helps!

i foned sony custermer service thy said you have 2 send it in for a repair on the lens because the lens is broken which will cost you about £100 atleast. also i searched online and it said buy a new ps3 lens and open your ps3 and fit it yourself its cheaper but you have to handle all the parts on the inside of your ps3.

If you have updated to the latest version of system (2.3) you need to phone Sony. There is a problem with the latest update causing console failure, by overheating the Blu Ray disc chip.

You need to try to Update your PS3 from a memory card. Follow the directions on www.playstation.com to download the update using your regular PC and copy the update to a Memory card that has at least 120Mb of free space.

Go to www.playstation.com. Click on "Playstation 3", then click on "Playstation Network". Click on "System Update". Scroll to the bottom of that screen. Click on the next to last bullet called "Update using a PC" Follow the directions in detail.
