It could be a problem with the float switch that's bad, the micro switch may be stuck in the on position, or could be solids stuck at the float switch not allowing it to shut off. I suggest to open the unit and inspect the float switch.

SOURCE: NOISY SANIFLO

Always an issue, guessing it is on a tiled floor? or up against a tiled wall?

I put some thin foam / Bubble wrap underneath and behind mine to dampen the vibrations. It also helps if you box the unit in and use foam to quieten the noise (on top and around the unit). Depending upon how long you have had it, it may also need a clean out or possibly even the motor bearings are getting a bit worn, creating some noise with the excess movement.

Good Luck

Can the flush mechanism be moved to an external site

Well now, that depends on your ingenuity.
If you can exactly duplicate the action of the flush handle, of course you can move it anywhere you please.
I am at a railroad museum, and railroads could move track switch lever mechanisms several hundred feet away from the switch, it just takes imagination and precision.
Saniflo will not be able to help you, but an inventor might be delighted to do so.
God bless your efforts.

Saniflo keeps going off when not flushed

Water pressure makes the unit turn on and off. If it turning on by itself then could be water draining back into the pump. Water could be leaking from the check valve on the discharge elbow into the pump or from the toilet tank into the bowl. Inspect the flapper on the check valve and the flapper on the flush valve.

Saniflo pump has a delay, kicks in 15 mins after flushed.

Either the rubber membrane or the microswitch is at fault.
