After ejecting five staples, my staple gun stopped pulling staples into the feed and ejecting them. It makes the shooting sound, but nothing comes out. I examined it for staple jam, but found nothing.

staple guns are feed from the rear by a spring. check and see that the spring is still douing its job. if this isa air feed, inpact gunn, clean ejector ports and staple slide.

My gun will not shoot staples after loaded I thin there is a part missing

Staple gun are simple device and the 'shooting' mechanism is just a sring loaded bar that hammers the staple out: the problem is usually a jam/stuck staple where the staple in the orifice where the staple comes out. Just use a small screwdriver and /or plier to remove the stuck staple which could be jammed against the hammer bar. You may need to force the hammer bar backwards with the help of your small flat head screwdriver.

Hope it helps!

Won't shoot nails

Usually this is because the "loader" is not moving the staples into the correct position. Make sure that the staples are loading correctly and that they move on the rail smoothly. Also, the spring should be pushing the staples toward the plunger. If the spring can not move freely, this will occur as well. Without seeing the actual gun, I cannot say for sure where the problem is, but the above are the first areas to look.

How do you adjust the staple size to load 1/2" or 1/4" staples?

Staple guns can use a variety of staples; the width of the staple is fixed, the lengths vary from 1/4" up (usually in 1/8" increments). You don't need to adjust the staple gun for the different lengths, just be sure the width fits your gun since some manufacturers have used brand-specific staples.

There are also a variety of staple types; there are staples for ceiling tile, electric wire, window screening, etc. My favorite staples for wood have the tips cut on a sharp angle, they penetrate wood well. Some staple types require a particular gun, I have a gun that shoots only round-top staples for small cables like phone & thermostat wire.

Has staples loaded but does not shoot staple. I pulled out the follower and cannot tell if there is a jam, but looking at the "output" of the stapler seems to have a staple...

I think you just answered your own question. I have had one single staple stuck at the "output" where the staple shoot out and it drove me insane for a few until I slowed my roll, took a deep breath and said, I have got to be smarter than a piece of metal here, and took a calm slow looksy. Sure enough, it was one loan staple causing a backup of the rest. I have also had issues with overloading staples which eventually makes the spring pushup rod become less forceful as it pushes the staples up for firing. Not an issue until you get towards the last dozen staples or so, which can also lead to the last staple not quite getting that millimeter push ahead, to shoot out correctly. These staple guns are like babies. Have to treat them nice and pamper them and heaven forbid you ever drop that stapler cause if dropped more than likely it will never quite be the same again.
