Question about Kitchen Ranges
Oven/range does not work anymore. The ceramic plates do not work and the oven does not work. The clock does not work. The whole display is blank when power is on. Breaker has been reset. Unplugged electric outlet and turned back on, no change, shows PF on all 4 displays and then shuts off. When we turn on one of the ceramic plates, the oven turns back on, the clock starts blinking, the plate number starts to work again. However there is NO heat in oven and on plates. When you set the clock and turn the plate off, the whole device turns off again. Turn the knob and it turns on again, resets the clock, but no heat. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to fix /buy parts myself because we are on a budget. Thank you very much.

Your f30 problem may be a bad sensor circuit. It may have an open connection or just plain defective sensor. Check the connection between the clock and the sensor as well as disconnect and measure the resistance of the sensor - should be about 1090ohms at room temp (75F)

We tested the EOC and it will indeed need a replacement. Also, just a couple weeks prior we ran the "clean" mode on the oven as did another poster who experienced the "pop" and loss of the control board/oven function, but still had stove top function.

GE Error Code: FFF
Condition: Door motor safety circuit
Fix: Repair Electronic Range Control (ERC)
Usually, failure happens after power surge.

Tips for a great answer:
I appreciate your inquiry, J.J!
From what you have described your Frigidaire oven is displaying an error code of "PF" and you just installed the control panel. A "PF" error code stands for power failure. This could be a possible problem with your control panel and power source. You may need to perform a reset on your oven and you can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker off for at least ten minutes. If this does not help resolve your issue I would recommend having a professional technician out to perform a proper diagnosis and repair. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

Good Morning Paul, thank you for your post!
Based off what you have described your Frigidaire range, PLES389DCC, is providing you with an error code of "PF" and "F1" as soon as you turn it on. An error code of "PF" stands for power failure this could be a possible problem with your control panel or power cord.
The error code "F1" stands for a runaway temperature (overheating). This could be an issue with your RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). I would recommend performing a reset on your oven and you can do that by disconnecting from your oven for ten minutes. If you continue to have issues with the "F1" error code I would recommend having a professional technician out to your home for proper diagnosis and replacement of any electrical components. Hopefully this information has been helpful. -Matt

Hello lornalang - Typically "PF" indicates power failure. Once again try reprogramming the range by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart unit. If it proves to be ineffective, the range may possibly be experiencing a wiring failure or faulty EOC. Consult a professional to move forward accurately and to assist with the repairs.

Hello steve o - Typically error code F11 indicates a shorted keypad. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually will clear most false error codes. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear contact a professional to move forward accurately. Most likely the EOC on the range will need replacing.

Hi - Typically error code F30 for Frigidaire range indicates an issue with the sensor probe or the wiring harness between sensor probe and EOC. If you have already changed the sensor, I suggest checking the wiring or contacting a professional to move forward accurately. You can try resetting the unit and see if the error code will clear. You can either unplug the unit or flip the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn on the range. If issue continues, once again contact a professional to properly diagnose the unit.
