Pac we110ec0 emitting loud noise

Brand new, 1st time switched on and after a couple of minutes running, a noise starts up not unlike a 'fog horn', and we switch it off immediately. have gone through manual and over startup instructions and can not find what may be the cause. NB no problem symbol is issued on the led display.

Does the noise happen when the room is in cooling? Is it a three phase compressor? It could possibly be the compressor running back wards. Over charged with refrigerant. Non considerable s in the refrigeration system.

Remove the tank if it is removable and see if you can determine how it is sensing the tank level. Maybe it's a float switch that is stuck or maybe it works by the weight of the tank. Either way your problem will be with whatever senses the tank level.

SOURCE: i have a danby premiere

it sounds like your compressor is failing to start ... that usually means a bad starting capacitor ... if thats the case it will hum loudly for a few seconds periodically .. thats the compressor trying to start but it cant if the capacitor is bad .. it will stop humming when it gets too hot .. a thermal breaker will turn off the power until it cools back down .. dont let this continue since it will eventually damage the unit ... replace the capacitor .. the capacitor is usually mounted on or near the compressor .. it often has two sections .. one for the fan motor and one for the compressor ... since they are both in one case you have to change them both ,...

SOURCE: Our brand new Frigidaire portable air conditioner

Was it new out of the box or did you buy it as an open box? Is it more of a musty smell or more of a rotting smell? Does the compressor stay on when you turn it on, or is it cycling on and off? Let me know what you find out and we can go from there.

Why is there delayed start & screeching?

The motor needs to be oiled. There are places to add oil on the ends of the motor. There may be a start capacitor that needs replaced too.

Brand-new window unit emits musty smell when compressor shuts off

It SHOULD NOT ... (smell in... even in WEST TEXAS).

BRAND NEW... Rush on down and get a good
NEW one.

I would suspect the condensate drip pan is plugged...

Common for AC units ..

But NEVER in "brand new"...

Get that (previously owned (my opinion)) UNIT
back from where you bought it ... Trade it in for a CLOSED BOX... and make your sales CLOWN write up why you are returning it.

Mold can be quite dangerous!!

Makes a really loud buzzing noise during operation

Unit uses a Magnetron and likely a power board called an inverter to run it. Someone would have to open the unit in a way where they might pinpoint where the sound is coming from and then take action--does not of course sound normal or good to me.

Chorus emits a pulsating noise

Sounds to me like low-end gear. You honestly get what you pay for. If it happens to be high-end then you have either bad cables or just a bad effects processor. If you have on-board effects built into the amp, then get better equipment.

Hope this helps.

You need to let this happen for awhile until the pump "primes" or fills all the way with water. Let the it run with the noise for awhile. Also, let it sit for at least 20 minutes before you start running the pump.

Very loud hummimg and crackling - even when volume turned down.

There are a few variants for this model depending upon the serial number. From your description, there are some capacitors in between the amp stages called coupling caps that are failing. The hum is some DC current being passed through the output stage. The crackling is probably just dirty controls.

Fog lights staying on

1st most newer car cars have a timer delay that helps light the area you are in for a couple of seconds. You may have had the knob turned all the way up on the turn signal switch. The same thing will happened if this switch is turned all the way up, the interrior light will stay on. Turn the lights on with the switch and see if the fog lights come on, do this without the car running.Trun the lights off,see if the fog lights stay on then go out after a while.if so you have a delay on the fog lights or relay. You may need to replace the relay only. Part $ 15 trace fog light wiring to relay usually under hood away from water sources.......runjoe
