SOURCE: Clothes do not get dry when using the sensor dry setting on GE dryer.

Ok, Jeff, I see you have a front loader, electric. On this model we have inlet thermistors, outlet thermistors, and the sensor bars are non serviceable, which means they are part of the blower housing. Not a big deal. Let's put it into a test mode and test the voltage drop of the sensors. They are on the inside of the drum just below the vent gate. 2 bars. Unplug the dryer for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and within 10 seconds press in this order: signal button, delay start, signal button again and delay start again. The consol should show t01. This is test 1. You want to turn the main dial clockwise until the test shows t09, this will be the sensor test. With the drum dry it should show around 5 volts DC. Now take a wet rag and place it over the bars, the display should show a voltage drop to around .5 or 1volt DC. If it does this the sensor is working properly. See if you can run this test successfully and post back. Catriver.

SOURCE: Maytag Electric Dryer Stopped Working

Check spring tab behind door switch-if it's bent/out of adjustment, circuit will act like door is always open.

To confirm this, open door, set dryer to active setting, and hold in door switch; if it comes on, then it's either the spring tab, or the switch is malfunctioning

The times seem to have changed on the settings for soil levels. For instance, the quick is 50 minutes and the normal is 84 minutes. That does not seem right. Is there any way to set them different?

Answer to your question "Is there any way to set them different?" Short answer is no. The Maytag Neptune like many other washers that display a time of cycle first start with an estimated time this relays a lot on the last cycle ran. But, more importantly it also takes into consideration other washing options. For example, lets say that your quick wash cycle used to only display 35 min. now if you select an extra rinse option the time will increase from that 35 min. to a higher amount of time. This is due to the longer time it takes to go through a second rinse cycle. The MAH5500 if I'm not mistaken also has a heater in it so there are options such as sanitize which takes 120 degree hot incoming water (suggested temp. for hot water heaters) and heats it to approx. 165 degrees. And as you can imagine this takes a washer some time to do this (increasing wash time). If you would like to lower washing time check the washing options and remove any that are not needed at that time; pay close attention to extra rinse cycles and the soil levels that are selected. Hope this helps. Cheers.

MAYTAG GEMINI model MER6770AAW Fault code F1-L -same code for upper and lower. After reading other comments, it appears that the temp sensor(s) are bad. I need to find part #'s and cost. Thank you Pete

Here's a late response, hopefully helpful to someone... I had the same issue with same model Maytag range. I pressed the CLEAN option on the touchpad (bottom oven) and that option seemed to work. I pressed Auto Set and I let it go through "remove oven racks" until the display panel read 100 degrees and then pressed CANCEL. About 30 seconds later, when the oven was out of "clean mode," I pressed BAKE, then Auto Set, and it's been working fine ever since...

I'm sure the sensor needs replaced and will go permanently sooner or later, but if anyone out there gets the F1-L code but hopes to at least temporarily revive your oven maybe this will do the trick.

Maytag neptune MDE9700AYW ts t5 error

Check to see if your thermistor is bad by measure the resistance. It should be 10K Ohms at room temperature.
If it's bad, replace it BUT you have to CLEAR to error code.
1. Enter to Service Mode by press CHIME and TEMPERATURE keys for 3 seconds or until 3 beeps are heard.
2. Access Diagnostic Codes by pressing WRINKLE PREVENT. A d will be displayed. Rotate the CYCLE SELECTOR KNOB in either direction to read it.
3. Press SENSOR DRY and TIME keys for 3 seconds to clear it.
4. Power OFF to exit Service Mode
5. Power ON
Hope this helps

If this is a gas dryer, I'd suggest an inspection by the gas company or qualified technician. If the jets aren't firing correctly, you are wasting gas and possibly creating a hazard.
