My HK AVR-132 doesn't process corectly anymore the signals from optical inputs (DD or DTS 5.1). It happened since I bought a WD TV Live and connected it to the receiver by optical cable. Since then, the...

If you're processing digital audio into the reciver via the TV instead of directly from the source it REALLY originates in (Cable, for example), you are wasting good expensive optical cable and introducing opportunities for digital data problems. I always run the BEST audio and the BEST video directly from their prinmary sources to the BEST electronics that can handle each one. That means they take entitrely different electronic routes from their origins to my eyes and ears.

You need to evaluate what might be happening to the audio on its way (unnecessarily) through the TV to the receiver.

I also had this UNLOCK message on my Harman Cardon AVR 130.
The reason for this error was - in a hurry I've plugged the optical input into optical OUT! Double check that your connections in the back are correct and hopefully it fixes your problem.

Cheers,

No sound fom optical input

Do you have your TV hooked up, so you can see the AVR-4800 system menu on its screen (if not, see the manual). You need to go down to the digital input menu item where you associate each component with its input source, whether it is coax, optical 1, optical 2, ..., etc.

Audio problems using a Playstation 3

First try ensuring that "OPT 1, 2, or 3" function is selected depending which one you are using on the H/K 146 (see manual for selection instructions). Next please ensure that the PS3 audio out set to "optical" (Settings/sound settings/audio output settings/digital out+DD 5.1). That should help.

Connect the optical audio OUT on the TV to the optical audio IN on the receiver. Turn the receiver on and set it to input as it was labeled on the connection ("video" or "auxillary" or such). Turn the TV on and set it to an active TV channel (with video and presumably audio info), not to VIDEO 1.
If you continue to have a problem, please provide an update.
