SOURCE: HP LASERJET 3050 SCANNER: ERROR (not set up on pc).

Shirley,

If your still looking for a solution, or to those of you who have a similar problem, the following fixed my problem after trying to resolve the issue over the last year!!!!

I also received the "not set up on pc" message and tried re-installing the software numerous times.

Finally resorted to re-installing windows XP (because of this and other software glitches) and re-installed the Laserjet 3050 software again...but could not get the printer to install.

The problem was occuring while the software was asking to "plug in the usb cable", but would not complete the installation. It was not recognizing the device....the solution was to reset the laserjet 3050!!!!

to reset, push the "menu" button, < (left arrow), go to "service", "enter" button, > (right arrow), "Restore Defaults", "enter" button.
This should reset the factory defaults.

After this, I re-installed software, working!!!!!

Puas

Hi there this issue is caused by your driver defaulting to letter and a4 paper being used set your default paper size to a4 in the driver and also set tray to a4 this should cure the problem Regards AL "alstech"

Why does hp laserjet CP3525 says A4 in tray 2?

Based on my experience, it is likley that the document you are trying to print was originally formatted for A4 and hence when you go to print it asks for that paper. I have also run into a few fresh driver installs that default to A4(european) paper sizes.

Code PC Load A4

This means that the printer is expecting A4 paper rather than letter size or whatever you are trying to use. Check your "Printer Options" on your computer and make sure that the appropriate paper size is selected. A4 is an international standard paper size that is 210 mm (8.27 inches) x 297 mm (11.7 inches) and therefore is just a bit narrower and longer than the American "letter" paper size.

To correct this, cancel the print job currently in the printer's memory, change the computer to the proper paper size, and send the print job again.

My LaserJet 4,000N HP printer is giving me an error everytime I print. when printing certain documents I get a message on the printer " tray 1 load plain A" to get past this i have to push ok...

you need to go into your printer properties and make sure when you push print, it's NOT asking to be printed on A4 paper which thats what it sounds like. Make sure its set for exactly what you have in the tray and make sure the printer paper tray setting are set to exactly what you have in the tray also... should this be of any help, please mark as FixYa!! Load A4 paper. Or just press the green button to force it to print to whatever paper is in the tray.

I am using a HP Laserjet 4 plus. I got a flashing "PC" and "Load A4" on the screen and could not print. Pleas help.

Clear the Print Que in the PC, turn off and unplug the machine, turn it back on.. send a test print from the driver.
A4 is european paper size, your printer is set for letter, someone attmepted to print an A4 file. Which is in the page set up in what ever file was to be printed.
Next Time Please be specific?
