Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player
I load up the sd card with songs and insert it. The sansa does not see the card at all
First, make sure it's a microSD card and not a microSDHC card. If it's larger than 2GB then it's a microSDHC card and won't work. Second, make sure all your music is in a folder named "MUSIC".

SOURCE: Micro SD card not read
The Sansa c250 and lower cannot read SDHC cards. They must be regular SD cards for the c250 to "see" them. That is, they must be of 2GB capacity or lower. If the card is 4GB or higher, it is a SDHC card and will not work.

Ok so as was mentioned its a SDHC card. and a v1 player won't play it.
you have a "v1" is your firmware starts with 01.xx.xx.xxx etc
to fix this you can "rockbox" your e260 (www.rockbox.org)
it makes the player much much better imo as well as allow it to read 8 gb sd cards.
though i have to put it in my card reader to add files not sure why but my player does read and recognize the files so thats a plus.

SOURCE: sansa e250 using micro sd card
change the mode of the player to MSC and connected the player to the computer, this will help detect the microsd as a removable disc drive.Transferring songs to the card is via drag and drop or copy and paste.
