I cannot get my Trutech DVD Player model T600D to open to accept a disc.
I have a brand new KOSS KD 365. I just took it out of the package and it won't open door to accept the disc. Its not making any noises or anything.

You'll need to check the region code of your player.
Make sure you have no discs in the player, and unplug the unit. Plug it in and turn it on. Open, then close the tray (with no disc!) Press the Setup button, then select Load Setup Press the Enter While it it loading, press Menu. When the box appears with a number, confirm it says 1 (region code 1 = USA). If it doesn't, please change it to 1 using the Up / Down buttons. Press Enter to accept the change.
I'm sure you can find a universal remote that will let you change that setting, but you'll have to look around. The cheap ones do NOT let you change very many setting, especially Language setting. Check electronic stores and associates and I'm sure you'll find one that'll work.
You Can By A Universal Remote At Any Wal-mart, Rite Aid,Radio Shack And Program It To Your T.v. If You Are Wanting An Exact Replacement Let Me Know And Ill Find You One. Thanks For Using Fixya.com Sincerely, Michael Scott
ACCORDING TO AN OLD MANUAL ,TO UNLOCK THE PASSWORD CODE YOU MUST FIRST BE UNDER NO DISC CONDITION THEN PRESS NUMBER # 7 KEY, NUMBER # 6 KEY,NUMBER # 4 KEY, NUMBER # 1 KEY, AND NUMBER # 8 KEY ON THE REMOTE CONTROL IN ORDER. GOOD LUCK, I HOPE IT WORKS. BRIAN B
look at the bottom of the unit and see if it has a slot to put in a pin and manually open the drive, most of them have some way to do this look for a slot or pin hole to push the release, sometimes they do this because someone pushes the drawer closed instead of using the button or remote, you will have to open it to reset it if that is the case you might have to easily force it open.
press setup, than press 8 four times, then press Next Chapter 4 times as well... it will appear a little number in the top-right of the screen... press the right or left button as many times as needed to appear the 255 number in this place... press setup again... and it´s over, every discs plays fine
