Question about Computers & Internet
The button is probably sending a continuous signal and interfering with start up. You'll have to take the battery out and strip the top off the laptop to replace the pad/buttons properly

check all connections and restart computer. The p.o.s.t. will sometimes correct the problem. if not inspect the mouse physically and be sure all is well. It could be a switch inside the mouse if so simply take it apart carefully and check.if you have another mouse try it and see if it works this will let you know if it is your mouse or your computer. To test the bad mouse use it on another computer and see if it operates there.

Please do the following in order: 1. pull the battery and power it up 2.next pull the cd rom and try to power up 3. pull the hard drive and try to power up. If none of these helped then leave these components out and 5. remove one memory chip and try to boot 6. then pull the second one if applicable putting back the first chip. OK now if you still have a problem leave everything out except one memory chip and hook to a desktop monitor and see if that works. If none of these worked then you most likely have an issue with a video card or the motherboard. Good luck! you can email me at email@example.com for more help Phil
