The belt fell off of my Sony PS-

\lX250H turntable during shipping. How do I replace it? Thanks

I read the solution to put the belt back on and I've put it back on and it stays on when I spin the plate manually but it comes off the second I put a record on. How can I get the belt to stay on? Why does it keep coming off?

Same problem. seems like half of the explanation is being left out here? Anyone with a real solution?

Ahh! same thing happened to me during a move. quite frustrating, but a simple fix: remove the plate and look at the underside. here you'll see a ring around it, place the belt around that ring. there are 5 holes total, one small in the center, two larger ones to the side, and two rectangular ones on the edge. as you're putting the plate back onto the player, grab the belt through one of the rectangular holes and place that part of the belt around the cylindrical moving post to the upper left the same time as you put the plate back in place. it sounds confusing, but it's simple, i swear. let me know if i can clarify anything for you.

Wow, you made my day! I had the same problem on this exact model I just bought at a yard sale and came to this site to see the original posts and the solutions to getting the belt on. Thanks!!!

Excellent advise Dnorris. Worked a treat and so simple. Just in time for NYE. Nice one.

That's too easy. I was trying for a long time to somehow thread the belt drive through the inward turns but you thread it on the inside of the metal removable turntable itself! Thanks for the post and website.

Escort 1.9L Timing Belt Replacement

Remove the serpentine belt, remove the lower crankshaft pulley, place a jack under the oil pan and jack up the engine slightly, remove the engine mount (right top). Remove the timing belt cover, loosen the timing belt tensioner and pull tensioner pulley back toward the rear of vehicle. I like to then tighten the tensioner bolt to hold it in this position, remove and replace belt. If you need to put the engine in time then look at the camshaft there is a small arrow in the center, it lines up with a dot on the end of the cylinder head. The lower timing mark is a small metal tip that sticks out from the lower gear, and it lines up with a notch cut into the front cover just behind the lower gear. Once aligned properly put the belt on the lower gear and without turning the lower gear or camshaft gear pull the belt tight up to the cam shaft the cogs in the belt will line up with the grooves, then place the belt around the water pump drive gear and under the tensioner, then push the belt over all gears by hand without turning the engine. Loosen the tensioner bolt and apply a little pressure toward the front of the vehicle and tighten the bolt. Replace everything else previously removed. Engine should start and run normally.

I changed the belts on my MTD 42riding mower. When I depress the clutch pedal & put it in gear it takes off. The only way you can stop is to turn it off.

I an wondering if you have the wrong drive belt. I did this myself and the belt was too tight so when I started the tractor up it put me into a ditch full of water. I had to get the right belt. My replacement was only one quarter inch shorter but would not work.

My 2007 Town and Country touring 3.8L is making a noise and gets louder when put into gear at a idle but cannot hear while I'm driving just stopped and idling?

if the noise started after the belt replacement, check the belt tensioner. They are notorious for seizing at the pivot, especially after belt replacement. Hope this helps.

I have a Honda HRR2165VXA mower that is having issues with the smart drive.

hello, hello, Drive belt replacement for front drive mowers. remove the belt coved on top of deckand clean out grass, turn mower on side where carb is facing up,use a pair of vice grips on side of mower deck so the blade can stop, remove the blade, remove the belt cover and clean out the grass, remove belt from rear and front pulley pulleys. install new belt, put belt cover and blade back on,put front belt cover on, should work,if that is not the problem; wheels will not prepeal the mower, wheels turn only when raised off ground, Check the gears or groves on the inside of the wheel for access wear that is a common problem, check the axle drive gears to make sure turns ok, to check gear box if ok pull mower back wards while drive is engaged,if wheels turn backwards than the trams is bad,all of this is caused by the operator,by not disengaging drive while pulling mower backwards or by holding mower back not allowing to propel self completely, hope this helps, any comments welcome, thank you.

Battery not charging after a long run

With the squealing in first and second gear, I would suspect the noise was coming from the clutch. You may only need an adjustment, and not a replacement. If your ZXR is set up like my brother's Kawasaki EX-500 (and most other motorcycles) the alternator is built into the engine case on the opposite side of the crankcase from the transmission output shaft and there is no alternator belt. If there is no problem with the alternator windings, the problem may be in the voltage regulator. In either case, unless you are a very talented amateur mechanic and/or electrical engineer, you are better off taking it to the shop.

How to replace timing belt on 1997 kia sportage

you have 2 sprokets to worry about the top two and crank gear, the crank gear has knocht on it and index on block ( towards back of gear visible from top) place on tdc mark ( top dead center), install the timing belt on this gear first then secure it with a piece of hose or anything that fits in between housing and belt to secure belt from moving from gear) then align the right side sproket on "E" for exhaust cam at top marks on cover and sprocket, then install belt over that sprocket, finally align left side sprocket "I" for intake to the top mark and install belt not too tight or it will make noise just make sure it is firm. now to double check from left to right with you standing in front of vehicle you should have left cam sprocket with "I" for intake to the top and right sproket with "E" for exhaust to the top. having bottom gear on tdc (top dead center mark) and all marks lined up with belt installed and proper tension secured, turn engine over twice and make sure marks meet in the same place then put everything back together. ( recommend you replace both idler and tension pulleys and check water pump, replace if needed or you'll be back.- this procedure goes the same to spectra, sephia, sportage, you will not damage the engine on these vehicles if belt goes out except rio. if timing belt goes out on the rio it will need an engine, if lucky just head. recommended replacement on all is every 60k miles) goo luck tightening the power steering drive belt when you put everything back together, just use a long bar to pry and good leverage. and a second hand comes in handy.
