i am facing Problem installing Windows XP with Asus P5RD1-VM series mothboard with SATA Hard drive. My harddrive doesn't get detected while installing Windows XP.
While going for coping files for installation it didn't find hard drives on machine. Is there any BIOS setting for finding SATA hard drive?

- but what to do if i don't have a floppy drive can i do it direct from motherboard CD or use USB pendrive sort of that to specify the SATA drivers. If any one knows this please give the BIOS settings also to do this.Thanks in advance.

Hi!
You need to copy the SATA drivers from the motherboard CD into a floppy diskette.
When you are booting with the windows xp installation CD you can see a message that says:
Press F6 for raid drivers
Press that key so windows installation CD look for the SATA drivers.
