No lights and a clicking noise when the doors are opened??? control lights also are out, but appears ti be still cooling??? if this is ht eissue you have a problem withte control board, located behind the refrig mounted next to the compressor in a white enclosure. call the manufacture or local part distributer for part, you can replace yourself!

Fridge light doesn't work/makes ticking noise

Let the refrigerator cool for awhile without opening the door. 39 minutes should do. Then check to see if the bulb is warm or hot. If it is the door switch is bad and the light is staying on which will make the plastic expand and cracklel or tick. Hope this helps.

Light blinks off and on when door is open

If you mean that the freezer cabinet light flashes check the lamp fitting and ensure the bulb is fully tightened, they have a habit of becoming loose with the expansion and contraction of the fitting/bulb as the freezer compartment cools with the door shut and the bulb warms when the door is open.

That button just turns the interior light on when you open the door and off when you close it. Could a light bulb be slightly unscrewed? Or perhaps the bulb cover is loose?

Fridge working but not cooling.

The white component you see , is the problem . That is the overload/relay . These short due to power surges , dirty coils in the front bottom of refrig , or just by age . They short , to save the compressor , when one of these happens . The part number you need is # 8201786 . This part just prys off (maybe one wire clip ) , easily replaceable with instructions included with the part .

Ref light bulbs and noise no cooling wh-pool GS5SHA

I had the same problem. There is a main controller board at the bottm of the refrigerator near the back by the compressor motor. One of the components on the board shorted out and the board had to be replaced. Total cost about $150.

Interior lights not working on Samsung Refrigeration.

My samsung rf265ab did the same thing after I was cleaning it and the door was open for an extended time. I noticed the the light bulbs looked good and also notice 2 tiny black buttons between the light bulbs. They were slightly extended. I pushed both in and when I opened the fridge again the lights were working. Don't know if I fixed it or just a coincidence.

Loud Buzzing Noise from Behind Freezer

Sounds like the freezer fan blade is hitting on a build up of ice or frost. You may have a defrost issue, or it may be a one time thing, like the door was open for a long time (object holding door partially open) or also check the ice dispenser duct door to make sure it is closing. Sometimes a chunk of ice hangs up in the ice shoot, allowing moist air to enter freezer, resulting in the extra frost / ice near the freezer fan. You might also check the door gaskets, especially the bottom side where sugary liquid spills might cause a gasket to tear. #2: Long run times: If cooling is good, don't worry. Older refrig's often ran less time, but used much more electricity than the newer refrig's, even though new one run longer. (Like having a 40 watt light bulb on for 20 hours a day uses less electricity than having a 100 watt bulb on for 10 hours a day)

BUZZING NOISE ON WHIRLPOOL GOLD FRIDGE/FREEZER

YOU MAY HAVE A BAD LIGHT BULB, SOCKET OR LIGHT SWITCH. TRY WIGGLING THE SWITCH TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY CHANGE IN THE BULB INTENSITY. IF NO CHANGE, TRY REPLACING THE LIGHT BULB. IF NO CHANGE, THE SOCKET NEEDS REPLACED.
