Question about Philips HQ7300 7300 Series Shaver Electric Shaver

Open Question

HQ7380 doesn't work

I bought this last spring, and since my face apparently dislikes electric shavers, so i stopped using it. Now my stepfather said his over 10 year old shaver doesn't work properly anymore i decided to give mine to him, expect it doesn't work. When i try to power it on, it just makes the click sound and light flashes quickly. Blades are still in perfect condition and i did disassemble the shaver to see what is wrong with it. What i did find out, is that at least battery and motor are still in working order, when i connected battery directly to the motor. And when i power on the shaver without the motor, the power leds stay on and when connecting the motor it once again just clicks and shuts down. So my conclusion it's something wrong in shavers circuitry. Is there anything to be done?

It sounds like one of the heads is damaged and causing it to 'lock up'. Remove each of the heads one at a time and turn the blade inside of the comb with your fingers. They should move freely. I suspect that one will not rotate. If this is the case, you will need a new set of heads. You will find them at shaveroutlet.com. See link belwo

It is also possible that the retainer could be installed wrong. Make sure that the heads are in proper position and that the retainer is undamaged and put correctly in place

Should I shave with or against the growth of my hair with an electric shaver?

When you use an electric shaver you can shave either with or against the growth of your hair. In case you use a rotary shaver, you should make small circular motions with the shaver head on your face, do I gently, let the shaver do the work for you. If you have to press down hard in order for the shaver to cut your shaver is dirty and needs to be cleaned.

Shaving with an electrical shaver is considered to bet wet or dry shaving?

Most electric shavers are dry, meaning that you don't need any gel or a shaving cream in order to shave although there are some unique wet electric shavers' models on the market.

I got a Braun Series 7 790 cc-4 shaver with Clean & Renew station from Amazon yesterday. All worked great trying it out last night. I left the shaver in the station, and last night I noticed the blue...

pit back in the charge station for at least 4 hours and switch the power on for the charger
many small battery chargers will flatten the battery if the power is switched off
if that fails , contact amazon for a return letter to get you warranty refund

The shaver is **** after using it still not smooth , it says it has holes and slots for all type of growth ( after full charge it sounds like it has not the energy to cut baby hair) for all the grand prix...

First thing, reset the outlet. That's a common thing looked over. Next (if that doesn't work) is pull out the warranty papers because if it isn't the outlet, then it's the product. If you have had it for less than a year, they should allow you to use your warranty and have them fix it.

Helloi bought my boyfriend a Braun electric razer series 150 for Christmas. He has not used it too many times and now it has been scratching his face. Does he need to lubricate it or is there a problem...

try giving him an aftershave balm this will sooth the itchiness I use it and it works fine also if its the first time he's using it he must get use to it as electric razors offer a closer shave when used properly than normal razors.
ps ALWAYS use electric razors on DRY skin

Braun 7526 shaver switch

Managed to fix it - actually was a 7680. Only do this if you:

1. have a small screwdriver set

2. are handy putting little delicate plastic pieces and springs together again

3. are prepared to face the possibility that you might break the shaver entirely

4. you are out of warranty so you don't care if you invalidate it

THE PROBLEM is caused by a small flat metal assembly that acts as a spring to hold the blue button in place. That is held by 4 small glue posts. The glue breaks down, the flat spring falls out of place and the blue button is no long in the right place.

TO OPEN UP THE SHAVER

a. gently remove the plastic cover around the electrical socket underneath, using a small flathead screwdriver to pry it open

b. the two metallic sides of the shaver can be pulled away starting at the bottom of the shaver

c. uncrew the four screws on the underside of the shaver

d. remove cutter block, battery/lcd block (make sure you don't lose the grommet around the lcd display

e. pull the spring and little plastic latch off the underside of the switch, make sure you remember how to put it back (took me almost 20 mins to figure out how to get that back afterwards)

f. slide the switch all the way up and pull it off the slide - you might need a little gentle force and a flathead screwdriver to coax it off - be careful you don't break anything here

g. remove the trimmer from the rest of the switch

h. put the blue piece back in place (mine had fallen out), then glue the flat metal spring back in place. I smeared brush-on crazy glue on the flat surfaces to hold it in place, I would imagine a four drops of reasonably strong glue on each of the glue posts would work best. Wait for the glue to dry and achieve strength.

i. slide the trimmer back into place, then the plastic latch and spring - this is the tricky part. Make sure the switch can slide on/off in all positions properly.

j. put the display/battery & cutter block back in place. put the back of the shaver on, hold the shaver together with your fingers and test the switch works in all positions without jamming. If so put the four screws back, followed by the metallic sides followed by the plastic cover of the electrical socket.

GOOD LUCK!!
