Every time I insert new batterys but display shows low battery

having looked through various different web sites and help forums, i can conclude that this is a very common problem and almost certainly a design fault with this camera.
mine didn't work for nearly a year, after losing it in my car for 3 months it eventually reappeared and when i switched it on it worked fine, until i connected it to my computer to download my new pics, now the old problem with the batteries is back and i still haven't been able to download any pics.
not so much a camera as a pain in the a##e!

Camera will not charge, shows blinking orange but will not turn on... when it does, it's to a "battery exhausted" screen or the lcd display with a low battery symbol. Also doesn't show on...

It could possibly be the battery or the charger itself.Try purchasing the charger it self.Use the old battery to see if it will charge it. If it does not charge you may have to purchase a new battery.as well.

My Canon Powershot A2000 displays a low battery even when I've just replaced with new. I've replaced several times, each time with two identical batteries, each time from a different package. I may be able...

Hi,
For the best results, I recommend you to use Canon rechargeable (NiMH) batteries. Rechargeable batteries provide the best performance and are the most economical choice.
Else......
AA alkaline batteries such as those from Energizer or Duracell will provide the best performance for non-rechargeable batteries.

Camera shows low Battery and goes off even if u insert a new one

are you using NiMh rechargeable batteries?
If yes, check that they are fully charged. If that doesn't do the trick, sounds like it might be a power circuit issue. Samsung is in Secaucus, NJ
or SamsungUSA on the web

Display battery level

Well, I tried pressing and HOLDING down the mode button. The battery level display miraculously showed up. I’ve also read (yahoo answers) that battery level display will show up automatically when battery is low. Hopefully I won't have to do this every time I recharge the battery.

Olympus c-160 battery problem

Check your user manual to see exactly what type of batteries you can use. Not all AA batteries will work in all digital cameras. Some require a specific brand of batteries or specific number, even though, they may be physically the same size. Hope this helps :)

Not showing pictures that i took

may be the bats are not compatible to that cam... check the voltage specification of the battery from the manual and then insert the battery suitable to it..................
just try inserting ur old bats once if the same problem persists then may be the display is out just try changing display..............
the best thing i suggest is you take it to technician ....

Battery display low indication and switch off even new batteries placed

Dear Camera User, I am by no means a professional when it comes to these matters. However, I do have the same camera as you, and currently have the same problem. Other users with the same camera have also apparently had the same problem as us. I have not gotten a chance to try this yet, but I read that if you keep the camera on the video feature for a while, and maybe even try recording some video, the camera will finally power up properly and not have to shut down all the time. According to the user who suggested this, his camera worked ever since that incident. So it is very possible that this may be the solution, or at least, one of them. Good luck to you...and to me (I have yet to try it).
