The blower won't blow unless you reach in to the unit and spin the blower. After a few tries it'll catch and start blowing.
It appears you may already have located your problem, the capacitors are very coming to burn out, if a motor will run after you spin by hand, mmore times than not the capacitor is the problem. The name tag on the equipment itself sometimes has the capacitor size and the motor nameplate usually does as well. you can call Nordyne support at 18004224328 and with your Intertherm Model number they can give you the correct capacitor size, which you can purchase at any HVAC supply house. If I had to guess, I would say you need a 5 mfd capacitor based on the blower size. but call them and verify. Also, most all supply houses that sell that capacitor can run the Intertherm numbers and see the correct size as well.
SOURCE: need help bad!!!!
try to google it at best but chances are you will need to contact intertherm directly and order one. what is wrong with your unit?
SOURCE: froze on the cooling cycle and will now not even turn on
If your AC froze up that is usually a dirty filter or coil, blower not running at proper speed or at all, or low on refrigerant. Since you say it won't come on at all now, that's probably an indication that you are low on charge and now you don't have enough pressure or refrigerant to close the low pressure switch. You will need to have the refrigerant charge checked.
SOURCE: AC unit wong start unless I spin the blower
you have 2 windings that are in you motor,One winding is the start winding It give the motor its initial boost that gets the fan spinning. The other winding is the run winding and it takes over and keeps the fan running. So it sounds like the motor is bad because the start winding is not giving the boost it needs to start. good luck--Nate
