Question about Samsung Televison & Video
I have a Samsung le40c530f1w 40" LCD TV which has multi-coloured lines running vertically from top to bottom of the screen and very faint lines horizontally as well as having a strobing effect at the same time. As the television is 18 months old and has passed it's warranty, is there a cure for this problem i can rectify myself without major expense? The T-conn board had been replaced 2 months ago but whether that could be the probable cause for this again i'm unsure?! If anyone is able to recommend a fix for this i'd be more than grateful and many thanks in advance
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

This should be repairable. It may be the LVDS Cable or the Main board problem. The only other problem is the T-Con Board.

Hi, Depeending on the thickness of the lines matters. If the lines are Black and about 1-2 inches thick it may be a bad bottom buffer board or a bad panel (screen).
If the lines are thin 1/16 to 1/8 inch it is most likely a bad panel.
You can open up the set and depending on the model, see the thin board/boards running across the bottom with ribbon cables going to the panel. You may be able to attempt reseating the ribbon cables, but be careful as some retainer plugs break very easy.
If the lines are thick black and the reseating doesn't correct it you may be able to buy the coresponding buffer. Unfortunately some bottom buffers are actually part of the panel. If you are not comfortable taking it apart then call a professional but be aware labor charges start around $200 not counting parts, panels start at $600 up to over $1000
hope this helps

SOURCE: Vertical line on LCD TV Panel
No solution here.
I have the same issue... A vertical magenta line, about 2 pixels wide, appeared about 1" from the left side of my 52" LNT5265FX/XXA. Of course, this appeared after the 1 year warranty... For me it started showing up about 22 months from purchase date. It goes away when the TV warms up after about 30 minutes or so. Sucks that such an expensive product has developed this issue w/in 2 years.
