Question about Sony 1GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Memory Card
There are a few scratches on the back where the white horizontal strip is -but doesnt look like anything major. Help! I have a lot of memories on this stick... Is there anyway to be able to view them?
When you plug this memory stick into your computer and the computer cannot detect this memory stick then the memory stick is damaged and your photos cannot be retrieved.

Don't brick/bin it It is probably fine Your P.c. can possibly only read a Max of 2Gb so buy yourselves an external card reader that can read up to 8Gb or more and your back on the case.

Files on a flash drive and memory cards in a card reader can be corrupted if it is not removed from the USB port properly.
Before removing the flash drive click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then click on the flash drive you want to remove and then remove the flash drive when the computer message says it is Safe to remove.
To restore the memory card and flash drive you may need to format the flash drive, but you will lose the data stored on the flash drive.
If you need the data on the flash drive these WEB sites may help: -

I had this problem and figured out a easy fix.
1. Take out memory stick from psp
2. Plug in usb to psp and start usb connection
3. Psp will recongnize there is no memory stick inserted
4. Now insert your memory stick and your good to go
For some reason you might have to repeat these steps everytime you want to access your memory stick.
Hope This Helps
