Question about Sony KV-24FV12 24" TV

1 Answer

Don't know how to change from cable to antenna

We don't have the origional remolt control. The TV has been used with cable until now. We now need to watch progrems broadcast by antenna. I tried everything I could think of in the menu setup but I still cant't pull in the TV stations. When I swithch it to AV-1 and input the RCA signal from the VCR, I can change the chanels on the VCR and get the chanels onto the TV that way . I'd like to do it directly without going through the VCR.
Thanks,
Roman

You have to enter its service mode to rectify this problem. Just contact any expereinced tech, as this is a very risky and skilled work. The tech know, what to do.

When did tvs go digital

It started this year
You can watch digital on any tv but you do need digital receiver box
You can use digital antenna if you don't have cable or satellite
Either way you need that digital box
I know - more money to spend

Hi, I bought this tv at thrift shop last week. No instruction manual available. I got cable from Time Warner. Got the cable signal and got tv working. 3 days later no cable. I don't know how to...

If using a cable box then you want to set the TV to channel 3 or 4 as the cable box will output to one of those. If no cable box then its possible the TV's tuner is bad or your cable company only transmits in digital form requiring a cable box since this TV only has an analog tuner

My toshiba tv only goes up to channel 12, when it reaches channel 12 it starts back at channel 1.

You will need to re-scan the channels, i don 't know where it is on the menu of this set. If you are on cable, you need to make sure your tv is set to cable tuning, or you cannot get channels past channel 13. Same is true for antenna if you are on antenna make sure you are set for this.

I don/t have remote control

If there is no button on the TV to go to the video channel or channel 3/4, you'll have to buy a universal remote.

Chanel will not go up or down.

George, your tv`s tuning system is set to "air", (roof top antenna) you need to go into your menu and change it to "cable", then do "autoprogram" again and it will add the channels above 13. You really should order the original remote for yourself, you can probably get one here; www.partstore.com Good Luck and Happy Holidays

Your tv might not support that option there might be an antenna for basic channels on top of your tv but what you can do is get video + sound cables(red, yellow, white) and connect them through this way.
