The turntable has stopped working in my microwave. On random occasions it will turn a few times, then stops working again. This is a multi-function microwave--it also bakes things like cakes and bread. I don't know if there's something wrong with the spindle or the motor. Can you help?
Turn table motor may be going bad.. it is almost impossible to diagnose untill it stops working completely.. when it stops working completely you can test for 120v down at the motor if you get 120v you need to replace the motor.

Don't have a fix for your problem, but my Frigidaire microhood just did the exact same thing--about the same age, started cooking some food and it worked for a few minutes and then just stopped--time kept going, light stayed on, but turn table stopped and fan noise cut out. I tried it a few more times and it seemed to fade in and out and then stopped trying.
I would suspect either door switches or an intermittent control circuit board, either of which can be repaired.
Opening the door while cooking (without first hitting the STOP pad) is the primary cause of door switch failure over time.
I have a text file on my site called "doorsw.txt" which helps in diagnosing and repairing door switch problems. You can find the file via a Google search. It will help you check and replace the door switches if you or an able friend is so inclined.
