SOURCE: breaker relay tripping out

If the unloading valve trips , which i think is the safety valve that tells me the compressor is pumping up past its maximum allowed pressure. that black switch should be the overload switch. check the amps of the wires going to the motor while its running and then look at the name plate of the motor to see the maximum amount of amps that the motor is allowed to draw.

Where to get a circuit breaker for a 2hp 5gal kobalt air compressor

Such equipment is mostly of generic far-Eastern manufacture and few spare parts and even less information tend to be available.

Such spare parts as are available tend to be either parts salvaged by the dealer from returns or generic parts which aren't always exactly interchangeable. By circuit breaker I assume you mean the pressure start/stop/isolator switch? Ask the seller who might say no (not surprising).

You might find a similar switch on ebay. Switches on larger higher quality compressors do the same job but if you have to resort to buying one of those you could discover a new compressor is cheaper.

What causes caravan aircon to trip circuit breaker on start up

My first guess would be that the compressor has seized. If not the compressor seizing, then I would look for a short to ground in the wiring. If you pull the cover of the AC you will most likely find that the compressor motor is plugged into a receptacle. If you can unplug or otherwise disconnect the compressor motor from its' power source and activate the thermostat to run and the circuit breaker does not trip, it is the compressor motor. If the circuit breaker trips, then it's in the wiring.

My kobalt 80 gallon air compressor won't turn on

BE CAREFUL! Jump the pressure switch and see if it starts. If so, replace the switch. If it doesn't start but hums, cut the power and try to turn the compressor by hand. Free it up if possible. If it does not hum, look for a reset on the motor or a blown fuse or breaker.

Circuit breaker trips after water supply cycle

check the condensor fan in the compressor area and make sure its running if not the compressor will overheat causing high head pressures on the compressor causing it to draw too much current to operate the compressor and kick the breaker out, also make sure the condenser coils there are clean and it has ample air movement away from the wall

What oil should I use if Hitachi oil isn't avalible?

On your next trip to Lowes look for Kobalt air compressor oil in the tool department. It sells for under $3 and works great for normal use. They also have Kobalt synthetic compressor oil for extreme conditions and longer use between oil changes. Sell for about $7. I also used Hitachi synthetic oil #19210b 8oz about $8 but hard to find. Kobalt synthetic costs less and works. Good luck.

Problems with kobalt air compressor 26 gal. simply would not start

Check and reset motor thermal overload (red button) on motor, also check circuit breaker for your power supply. other than that the pressure switch is what stars and stops the motor, and depending on your level of knowledge you will need to check continuity through the pressure switch with a ohm meter.
