Not sure hooked up correctly

I have a FZL 4004 Fahrenheat wall heater 240V. I dont feel like it is cranking out heat. Is there wiring instructions for this model? I hooked the red wire from the unit to the white wire(power supply and black to black. Is this correct or should I have done it differently? I ahve a 2 pole circuit breaker, the black wire goes in that and thta is it. Is that correct?

You should have a licensed electrician connect this unit for you.

That being said you need to supply 240v to the unit. You will need a true two pole breaker. (not a split or a twin) There should be two screws or lugs and two slots or clamps on the bus side. These slots must span both phases of your panel. You can measure the voltage across the two screws if you are uncertain, it should read 240v.

Next connect a piece of 12/2 wire to the two screws. Use the black and the white. Land the bare copper wire on the ground bus in the panel.

Then at the unit, land the bare ground to the ground screw and connect your 12/2 to the wires in the unit. You may find the wire nutted together. This is normal, and allows "feeding" the unit from either side. If you are unsure measure the voltage here also, across the white and the black. It should be about 240v.

The black and white wires should both go to the breaker. Not just the black wire. If you hook only the black wire to the breaker then you are only feeding the unit with 110 instead of 220. Both wires need to be hot.

Could be either. But, I suspect that wiring is getting hot enough to trip the breaker. Check all of your wiring to see if there is a hot spot or insulation melted.

Need instructions on how to install a 750W Fahrenheat heater. Wire size, breaker size, etc.

Hi,
To know what to tell you you need to know if it is 1 phase or 3 phase and what the voltage is that it will be running on...

Assuming that it is 240v 1 phase current you will need at least a 40 amp 2 pole breaker and #8 wire for a distance of upto about 100 ft. if longer then you need to go up to #6 wire....

7500 watts / 240v equals 31.25 amps... so a thirty to too small and you will need the 40....

Wire sizing needs to go larger as the run gets longer...

Hello. The red and the black are the hot wires. Therefore, connect one of your conductors to the red and the other conductor to the black. Use wirenuts. The bare ground wire should be solidly attached to the new unit's green wire using a wire nut.

I have the Fahrenheat Model FUH 724 heater. The manual states that it can be wired as a 240v 7500W unit but the directions and the unit itself only allow for three wires to be connected Black, White, and...

1st you will belucky if you actually have 240 v, most
homes are usually 220v. In youyr case you need to start at the breaker panel.

This is an example:
You have a Double Pole Single Throw breaker. Black
Wire is hot and goes into one side of breaker,if you havea red wire that goes into the other have of the
breaker.

The white wire ties in the nuetral bar and the bare wire into the ground bus bar. At the unit you hook up the red and the black wire which will supply the 240
Volts, you could tie the white and the ground wires together into the grounding terminal

Wiring my 240 V wall mount heater

Your question is kind of vague, but the 240v goes to the heating element, if the heater has a fan, it may be a 110v, so the white is common and should be wired as such. The heater should have a wiring diagram on it.
