If you are asking about the common RCA type plugs and sockets, The common colors are: WHITE or BLACK is for left audio channel. RED is right audio channel. Otherwise, clarification is needed. :?

I tried to install a cd player in my late 99 model daewoo lanos but the wires are different can anyone help

I would strongly recommend splicing back in your original stereo plug, and going to your local best buy or any car audio retailer and buying the proper wire harness- this will likely cost you between 5 and 30 dollars, but it will make your installation much easier because the color codes are all already properly matched.

My plug for the factory radio has been cut out of my 1996 cavelier i need the wire codes because i think the plug ran other stuff besides radio and im trying to install pioner cd player but i cant because...

Hook the 12v memory to a constant power, like the cigarette lighter, or parking lights(red I do believe) The yellow one is key powered, so hook that to something that only powers up with the key on. The black one is a ground, that should be obvious. As far as speaker leads, you can take the door panels off and see what wires are connected to the back of the factory speakers. Hope this helps.

I want to install in my car a panasonic car stereo AM/FM/CD player CQ-EN9680TA, i dont know the wiring code of the terminal (power and speakers connections), can you help me pls? thank you

Hello marlomeneses,

Wiring color codes are different for different makes and models. Go here and select your vehicle for the color code:

The best way is to purchase a vehicle specific wiring harness that plugs directly into your car wiring. Splice the wires from the harness that came with your new Panasonic to the vehicle specific harness and plug them in.

Here's an example of such a harness made by Scosche. This one fits 2002 and newer Chrysler/Jeep vehicles. There's a harness for most all vehicles. Local car audio shops, Best Buy, and even WalMart sell such harnesses.

Hope this helps.

Car Cd Player stopped working

Try disconnecting the player & plugging it back in. Before you do this though make sure you have your manual to the vehicle in case there is a code you will need to put in after you reconnect it .
or you could also disconnect your battery for a min and reconnect it . Both reset the stereo

Sony XR-C350 Car Stereo - can't use cassette adapter for ipod!

For Sony radios you need an aux Bus adapter called the Sony XA 300. It works with the Bus IN RCA, and there whould also be another plug spot for the Bus power and signal interrupter. That is how the Sony knows to access that port.
