9 blinks means, "Zero Crossing Detector" and the probable cause locations listed are "D6166 or D6114 is open (G board)". I had the exact same problem so I just ordered a new G board and swapped it with the old one and now everything works fine! You could order a new one at this site: http://www.partstore.com/PartSearch.aspx?PartNumber=A1054157A&x=31&y=19. The Sony board number is A1054157A. Replacing the G board is rather simple; all you got to do is pull out the back cover of the TV and the G board is the first board on your very left. After that unplug the four connectors and replace it with the new one. Here is a picture of the G board inside your TV: http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/8396/backev6.jpg. Hope this helped!

SOURCE: sony kp-61hs10 tv, has sound but picture goes black after 3 min.

I just had the same problem. If your lucky it might be a free 5 minute fix. The five light flashes mean impropper current. I took the front grill off, then behind that is another black cover, I took that off and noticed the circuit boards COVERED in dust. I then took an air can duster and blew off all the dust... works like new. No more flashes and in an out picture. The collection of dust was interfereing with the electrical current.

TV wont turn on

hi there, well my friend, this rear projector tv has 3 lenses, one that projects red light, one green light and one blue light. the liquid came from those lenses and it helps the light go tru the space. each one has a sensor and if theres not fluid the tv will protect itself and wont turn on.
i'm not to sure if the fluid made any short circuit between components, because is an oily solution and don't have many conductor properties. (correct me if im wrong) but i suggest if you don't have electronic knowledge or skills, don't attempt to repair it yourself, its hard even for experts to remove all the connectors and will take several time to do it.

Tv went black and no sound standby light falsh twice and paused and flashed twice again

This indicates a short happened somewhere in the set, causing the set to go into "safe mode" where it won't let itself turn on. Oftentimes it's the convergence board. Depending on what that will cost you, you may want to just replace the set.
