Question about Belkin Wireless G Plus MIMO (F5D9230-4) Router (1010835)

Cant update firmware belkin g plus

Doing a firmware update for my Belkin G Plus (F5D9230-4) results in a connection reset interference in both google chrome and firefox. I go to upload the new firmware, a blue bar appears indicating that my process is being started, then it almost immediately jumps to an error saying my connection was reset. What can I do? Is there a way to view my routers OS though an ethernet cable so I can manually change the html code for the update process?

It did not. I should elaborate that I've tried all official sources from Belkin and they do not help, nor do any relevant issues online help me either. This is why I'm asking for assistance, not a support webpage. Thanks anyways.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: hey i have a Belkin wireless g plus mimo router.

The problem you are describing is typical of Firewall issues: you can try to resolve the issue by trying the following in order: 1) Disable any firewall/anti-spyware software on your PC/Laptop (or try using a different 'working' PC or Laptop 2) Disable all firewall on your wireless router 3) Disable all firewall on your adsl/cable modem
Once you determine where the problem is, re-enable the firewalls/filters as required and add Exceptions for the appropriate IP addresses and/or Ports to enabled Web browsing (in general do not block port 80 or 8080).
Hope it helps.

Make sure the IP of the Router and the IP of the MAC is in the same scope.
E.G. Router: 192.168.1.1 Subnet 255.255.255.0
Mac: 192.168.1.5 subnet 255.255.255.0
Typically the router acts as DHCP-server and distributing ip-adresses automatically, when a computer is connected. But the the IP can also be set manually.

Check ALL cables, reseat, replace. Contact your ISP for good signal, have a ISP tech analize the signal. If it's a Wireless connection many things will cause a weak signal, interference, distance, firmware update needed, outside interference, bad connections, the device is bad itself. I currently use the Belkin G Plus MIMO as a router but now my iPhone which is always connected while in inside the house is suddenly disconnecting and I'm having trouble connecting back, what should I do?

This is most likely a result of your recent iOS4 update on your iPhone.
Check the Belkin Support web site to see if there is a firmware update available for your router.

If that's not the case, try power-cycling the router and deleting the entry for your router in your iPhone and recreate it.

How do i update the firmware on my belkin router?

On my router I have to log into the router while it is connected to the internet and select update Firmware. From there it does everything on it's own. If it ask for user ID and Password you can try User ID: admin Password:administrator if you don't have that information. If that doesn't work the only other method would be to activate the reset to reset the router to factory and then update and reprogram your settings.

Keep losing internet signal

Have you tried updating the firmware of your router? Updating the firmware of the router will fix that issue. Make sure after updating the router's firmware, hard reset the router. To hard reset it, Press the reset button on the back of the router for about 20 seconds, then unplug the power for 30 seconds then plug it back. Reconfigure the wireless settings of the router. Make sure to change the wireless channel of the router to channel 11 or 1 and not 6 to avoid interference.
