Why does my maytag neptune washer keep throwing the belt. I put it back on, but it threw it again and I found the the bolt on the flywheel is loose when it happen. help, please

I opened the back of the washer and found the belt had come of the flywheel and the bolt on the flywheel was also loose. I tightened the blot and put the belt back on. My wife did a load of laundry and everything worked fine, but when attempting to do another load it happened again and the bolt was extremely loose again. Is this a problem with the belt or something else.

SOURCE: SUDS error on Neptune washer

It means that there is too much soap in the machine most of the time. Give it time for the suds to go down then try to run it through again. Try using a little less soap later on. Front loaders need less soap than top loaders.

Remove the lower front panel.Reach up inside near the latch. Feel for a ring tab. Pull it down firmly while pulling on the door.
Then open the cabinet and check all the wire connections in the latch circuit. Check the wax motor ohms. The wax motor probably needs replacing.

SOURCE: Moldy door ring Maytag Neptune Frontloader & poor cleaning

This is an extremely annoying problem and a very effective solution is baking soda! You should place around 200 grams of baking soda into the empty drum and then run a full cycle hot or boil wash.

This is a very effective method of reducing and preventing mold in a w/machine. I would recommend you run this "maintenance" wash once per month to prevent further build up of mold in the machine.

You can purchase a replacement door ring if the mold is extremely stubborn. However the Baking Soda also has the effect of neutralising any residue and odour that may be associated with it.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Thank You.

I have a Neptune series washer that keeps throwing the belt. I took off the back cover and found that it has been digging into the plastic back and has worn the belt down a little. Are there any tricks to...

Take the center bolt out of the pulley remove the large washer that fits into the pulley flip it over and re-install it and the pulley will cease to wobble.

Maytag Neptune MAH3000AWA seems to be rubbing

I suspect that you have a leveling bracket come loose. Many of the Maytag washers also use a large concrete block fastened underneath to help balance things. Look to see if yours is this type. If so then the steel rod holding thinge that holds it in place may have come loose...should be easy to put back correctly but will require some muscle. Most of the Sears Kenmore units have springs that can come loos from their connections and require re hooking but I do not think you have this type of unit for a Maytag. Hope this helped.

Maytag neptune washer sounds like tornado during spin cycle

The reason of this noise is from loose lower front weight mounting bolts or a loose bolt securing
the driven pulley. Check the motor adjustment bolt for tightness. The noise could be from a loose wire harness, plastic purse-lock wire harness retainer on upper hose hitting the top cover or a plastic injection mold standoff on the outer tub bearing housing may possibly be interfering with the driven pulley. Also, check the drive belt for a weak spot on the belt. Ussually felt on the backside of the belt as a "flat" spot. Check the belt for a weak seam and replace it.

Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

I have a maytag neptune front end washer. model #

First clean out your outlet filter. If this does not work, open up behind and tighten all points where wires are joined; due to vibrations these might have come loose. Plug off the wall first!!..

Sounds like a loose screw/bolt/nut during the spin cycle

There is nothing wrong with your machine. Don'f bother with the sound , You said you threw 2 pair of jeans, so its bottons are causing the sound against the drum during cycle. Finished your laundry and worry no more. To make sure, throw some another clothing asides form jeans, like shirts, and feel the normal silent of your machine.

Good Luck,

Lg wash machine metal sticking throw outer drum

pull washer out and remove card board in back of machine. inspect internalls to see where bar came from. its probably a loose bolt. do not remove cement block for this is your stabalizer. you should see clear paint or scratches where bar came from. replace bar with new bolts. run the machine in dry mode to see if its ok. if motor and belt is ok you should be allright. butttttt if bar went threw inner brum you might be better buying a used washer.

My wash spins SO loudly

Had the same problem with my Neptune and is was not the bearing (there's only one). I replaced my washer with a new tub and bearing which was factory pressed in the tub (couldn't just by the bearing) after all this I found that the spinner support (which has three arms holding the tub) on the back of the tub had one of the three bolts broke and was throwing the washer out of balance and creating a loud knocking sound when it would spin. Replaced the stainless bolt and everything was fine. The repair man told me what he thought was wrong with my machine so I did the repair myself and found out after the fact that I wouldn't have had to spend all the money on the new parts if I would have just investigated the problem further.
