SOURCE: Red?Green picture

If you are connected to a HD cable box or sat. rcvr. using component cables, I would then suspect a loose or bad blue connection or cable. If you have Comcast and have their supplied flat component cable this is a common issue.

SOURCE: Red?Green picture

You may have inadvertantly loosened a cable connection to the DMD or logic board... You might be able to shut it down, unplug the unit and remove the lamp.. With the lamp out take a good flashlight and shine it into the lamp housing area inside the Tv and see if you have any wire obstructions that you could have contacted with the edge of the housing as you were removing or inserting the lamp...

SOURCE: Color seperation on left side of screen

You have convergence output failure. The output ICs will need to be replaced and possibly a small component like a resistor or two as well. Expect to pay a service company $350-$450 to resolve this.

SOURCE: very dull picture no changes when you adjust

Your television's DLP lamp is dying. Picture getting dim is a tell-tale sign that lamp is about to pop. You just need to get a replacement lamp and install it to resolve the issue.

What kind of antifreeze does my chevy lumina need

There are two kinds of coolant that can be found in this car. Look to see what color it is, either pink or green. It came stock with Dexcool antifreeze. This is a pink colored antifreeze made for aluminum engines. If it is green DO NOT put pink in there. NEVER mix pink and green coolants together. There is no differences among the green coolants. All will work but some are better than others. Also there are 50/50 ready-to-use coolant gal. containers. This has water already added in the coolant. If you get one that does not have water added you will need to add water. These are usually better for your buck.

My coolant light is low and im not sure what kind to add?

If your coolants color is pink you must add coolant that is pink. If it is green you must add green. You CANNOT mix green and pink together. You can get 50/50 mix which is half coolant and half water which is ready to use. You can also get coolant that does not have water added to it but you will still need to add water. This is usually better for your buck.

Color seems to be pealing up from the bottom of screen

If the screen is bouncing...expanding/shrinking you need to get a repair kit from www.TvRepairKits.com

If your screen looks 3d in color, has a stationary bow, or if you can't adjust one or more colors from the "convergence" menu you need to buy a convergence repair kit. You can get one from the same site listed above.

Hope this Helps,

Hitachi Model 43FDX20B Pink and Green Colors only

The convergence IC's you speak of are always mounted side by side and use the same #'s and are mounted on big metal heat sinks . Most start with STK392-??? . Also you may have bad resistors that are discolored and need changed as well . Some sets are protected by fuses but don't look like the typical glass fuses. They are pico fuse which could be green or yellow in color but look like resistors but do not have the color bands . Replacing the board could require a total convergence alignment. If you decide to take to a shop your avg. cost could be $250 to $300. If you do it yourself IC's and resistors or fuse would run around $50 to $70 bucks . Don't by the $9.95 IC's as they do not hold up as well . They should cost $20 to $25 apiece . Good luck

PINK AND GREEN COLORS ON BOTTOM OF PROJECTION TV

I'm not really sure on an exact fix for this, but I'm told that these are the symptoms of bad convergence module(s). My set is the same model no. and has the same symptoms. I was looking to see if I could find the exact part no. of the stk ic modules. I'm told that they are approximately $30 to $50 and are not impossible to change out if you have decent soldering skills. The normal repair charge seems to be about $600. Good luck. It looks as tho I may have to just give up and open the back and get the part no.s from the chips

TV lacks green, but has prominant red/pink

Getting the squematic will be the first step to take to become more familiar with the electronics inside, you can ordered by going to http://www.servicemanuals.net/ click on service manuals and give them the model number, they will then give a price and availabilty. The color processing uses a driver for each color and an output for each color too,the output are ussually placed in the crt board in theneck of the tube.the drivers and outputs are transistors most of the time but sometime the drivers are part of an integrated circuit. Please let US know if you need more help but place it as a new question.

Toshiba 42H83 Hyperboard 20 minute Wavy Line Repair Snafu I have repaired several tvs, this one has been more of a challenge due to lack of only service manual without a schematic. I replaced the caps on the MVPU14 Hyper board. Those that I found bad with ESR meter. I am fairly certain I botched this the first time using surface mount capacitors and possibly shorted something out when I re-installed. The tv came up with a blinkng red power light problem where the tv would not turn on. I removed and re-worked the Hyperboard using thru-hole parts instead, much easier. I still have the blinking red power light with 1 second intervals problem. In trying to isolate the problem I was able to do the following: A) Removed various boards and powered unit up to watch for changes in operation. B) I found out with the DPC Unit (PD0077) removed and all other boards installed, I am able to have the tv respond to the remote and front panel buttons, have sound, but no picture. I was able to hear a DVD player playing in the background that I had connected. C) No Menu can be seen on the screen, the bulbs don't light at all. D) I still haven't ruled out a faulty Hyper board yet as I don't know if its operation is dependent on having the DPC unit (PD0077) installed. I have not found any signs of damaged components, so now wondering what is the next target place to look at. Notes: 1) TV was working fine with nice bright picture before I started repairing the Hyperboard, so I haven't considered convergence issues and such. 2) I have been focusing more on the theory that the first repair of Hyper board had a capacitor shorted possibly up near top of board by LX229. 3) I did check all the pico fuses I could find and none of them appear open. Since I don't have a schematic, if you suggest checking a voltage, please advise part number and pin to check. I was thinking the 5Volt line should be checked, but not sure where. I do notice a 9V signal temporarily upon power up but goes away when power light begins blinking. Thoughts?
