There is a TV/VIDEO button on frond panel of the tv. When you press each time this button then you will able to access different video inputs. if the button is inactive the probably the micro switch for TV/VIDEO button may be faulty. also check the same with the remote. If its doesn't help then try to reset the tv to factory default setting. For that you need the remote. Keep in mind that when you reset the tv to factory default setting all the memorized parameters will erased(like channel memory, personal preference setting etc ). For reseting the tv to factory default do the following
1.Turn on the TV. 2.While holding down the RESET button on the remote control, press the POWER button on the TV front panel. The TV will turn itself off, then back on again. Release the RESET button
try turning off the caption through the remote of the menu.
to reset it to factory settings, go to menu, then settings, then there should be an option to reset the tv. If this doesn't work look through your manual. Sometimes you have to hold the power button for some length of time or the menu button on the tv. if these methods don't work, tell me the model and make of the tv.
use a rca video cord one end to the video out from the kenwood other end to your tv. with your remote push setup and ajust the db levels. the higher the db levels the quicker protection will shut you down
Basically all it takes to restore the TV to factory setting is to unplug the TV from power and all connecting cables for about 3-5 hours (depending upon your model). This is called a Hard Reset and should restore the TV back to factory defaults.
I had this problem! It was the Cars Battery. Kenwoods unit's fade or go completely blank when there is little power to power the stereo. Try charging your battery or grabing a new one from a scrappy! I was all over the net looking for help but finally sorted it!
P.S. My younger brother had to do the exact thing and it worked for him as well!!!
