Question about Garmin StreetPilot c340 GPS Receiver
I measured 12vdc at the end of the cable that plugs into the car, but no voltage across the wiper contacts to the mounting unit. Is there some electronics in there? I measured continuity across the female connection to the wiper contacts, but no continuity in either the ground connection or the center connection. I tried to unscrew the two tiny screws to take a look, but can't get it off. The unit battery is probably dead because I can't get any voltage to it. If I knew the polarity, I could probably jumper it, unless. maybe there is some voltage divider in there? Can I down load a schematic?
It appears that the mounting unit is defective?
It sounds to me that the unit is defective as well. no voltage at the battery does mean its dead but not defective. I would call in on the warranty.
