Boot into safe mode by pressing either F4 or F8 or one of the F buttons (it is different on different computers) when you power on your computer. You have to press it before your computer boots into the operating system. You should get a menu with one of the options that says "Safemode with networking" choose that one and press enter. When you boot into safemode, it loads only the essential services nessary to run your computer. It may look funny because the graphics card does not operate properly in safe mode it is ok. When windows loads, try internet explorer and go to cnet.com and click on downloads at the top of the page. Next find Malwarebytes and download and run a scan. If that doesn't find anything than try spybot search and destroy, or Adaware SE . Then after you remove ALL found threats reboot and it will boot regualy (Not Safemode this time) Wha laa!!!! If that doesn't work than it is too long of a solution to elaborate in this post.

If your browser homepage is changed to another unknown web page, you can reset your browser settings. Thus, you will need to open Chrome settings > Appearance > Show homepage button > Change. Then remove only-search.con and set a new URL. More detailed removal steps at this removal guide,

I can't open my google chrome i unistall and i intstall again and its not working

Hi

It seems as if this is the result of a change in your Browser Settings, either by corruption or by infection.

You don't say which Operating System you use, so my answer will be presented in general, Windows terms. If yours is a non-Windows Operating System and my answer seems to be of some relevance to you, please consider applying the logic and principles involved here to your own Operating System and, if in doubt, please feel free to add a Comment or Clarification to this Question. Please include information about the type, model and specification of your computer and its Operating System. Doing so helps us makes faster, more accurate and more assured Remote Diagnostics leading to better quality and more useful Advice, Answers, Guidelines , How-Tos and Solutions.

Uninstalling and immediately reinstalling again with a persistent Program like Google might leave certain critical elements of the previous installation behind, which can lead to pollution of the reinstalled files by remnants of the original corrupted files.

Start > Control Panel > (Uninstall a Program) Add or Remove Programs > highlight ALL Google related Programs one-by-one > Remove all components of all Google Programs and Tools one-by-one > Uninstall > (Continue) Yes > (My) Computer > Local C: > Right Click any Google or Google Related Folders > Delete > (Users) Administrator > Documents & Settings > Right click/Delete all Google or Google Related Folders > Program Files > Right Click/Delete all Google or Google Related Folders > Favourites > Right Click/Delete all Google or Delete all Google Folders > Apply > Continue > OK > Desktop > Right Click/Delete all Google Folders/Icons > Recycle Bin > Empty Recycle Bin or Highlight & Delete all Google Files and Folders > Disconnect (wired) or Switch off (wireless) Router > Restart computer > Power Up or Reconnect Router > Download, install and configure Google Chrome only from here:

http://www.google.com/chrome/index.html?hl=en-GB&brand=CHNG&utm_source=en-gb-hpp&utm_medium=hpp&utm_campaign=en-GB

Restart computer > Test Google Chrome.

Consider also good, quality, low system resource-demanding, low cost (free) Anti Malware, Anti Spyware and Anti Virus Security enhancements, download, install, scan and purge infected and/or infective files from your computer, such as:

Malware Bytes (www.malwarebytes.org)

Super Antispyware, with enhanced Browser and Home Page ****** Protection - even in the Free Edition (www.superantispyware.com)

Avast! Home Edition Anti Virus (www.avast.com)

Avira Anti Virus (www.avira.com)

Consider also downloading and installing alternative, subordinate Browsers, so any Browser corruption or infection to your preferred Browser does not automatically leave you without internet access. Consider:

FIREFOX

SAFARI

OPERA

I hope this helps.

Google Chrome has been working on my computer and now all of a sudden I have the "Whoa!" error every time I try to start up Chrome. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have also tried to change...

Hi Enyonam Kuma,
(A) Perhaps it is the site you are visiting which is causing the error. it could be a harmful site which is full of worms and is attacking your Browser.

(B) Have you updated your windows XP to the latest updates?
if you haven't please do so. this may be important so that your computer can function properly without hesitation on installing any other softwares as well.

If you are always receiving the error then it might be due to an error caused by an unknown form of factor within your PC. this could be a virus or an incompatible software installed earlier.

i would recommend you to uninstall google chrome using this software :
http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html
1. download the revo uninstaller free. 2. install the software like you usually would with any other. 3. run the RevoUninstallFree. 4. search for google chrome in the list in view. 5. highlight google chrome and click uninstall. 6. an option will appear, click on advanced uninstall, and remove every registry root which pops up. 7. restart your pc and fully scan your pc with an anti virus which is fully updated.
( http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ ) ( incase you dont have one refer to the site link i provided )
8. If there are no viruses download google chrome again and reinstall it.
9. if there is a virus remove it.
Google Chrome : ( http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?answer=95346 )
if you have fully scanned your PC with an antivirus without any infection and your still getting an error with your chrome i would suggest you to reopen RevoUninstallFree, to remove any unnecessary programs you have installed earlier which might prevent google chrome to work properly.
(C) If all else fails, i recommend to resort on downloading other browsers.

1. Opera Browser : www.opera.com
2. Internet Explorer 9 : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/products/ie/home?WT.mc_id=MSCOM_HP_US_F_113LMUS004274 3. Firefox : http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
4. Safari Browser : http://www.apple.com/safari/download/
i hope this helps, Good luck !!

I cannot get facebook on my computer

facebook is a webpage. If you are on a private network such as a school, college or work network. Chances are it is most likely blocked from being viewed. As 90% of private networks block these websites. Now if you are at home and cannot get it to work please ensure that you are typing in www.facebook.com and that you are using a computer that is free from virus or malware infection. If you are unsure that you have a virus or malware download a program called malware bytes at http://www.malwarebytes.org/ Then run this program till it finished remove the infections then followup with a virus scan. If you feel that you dont have a virus try using a different browser such as google chrome web browser, Mozilla firefox, or just use internet explorer. If you cannot connect to facebook on any of these browsers then followup with your malware/virus scan.
