Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
I have checked the circuit breaker. Looked at all wiring to make sure it is connected tightly with no breaks or corrosion on it. When trying to start, it wont start with the on/off switch in any position.

Sounds to me like you have a worn drive block and possibly a bad spin tube. The drive block can be accessed by removing the agitator first. Next you will need to remove the spanner nut. Now you can remove the basket. Attached you will see the picture of the drive block, I hope if it downloads. The spin tube locks into this drive block with two tabs that fit in respective grooves in the block. If the tabs are worn off the spin tube, that will have to be replaced as well. Good luck,

The most likely cause for water fill temperature problems is the solenoid has burned out, usually cold first, it gets used more. Not a repairable item , easy to replace

Replace the timer.
This is a neutral drain machine. If there is no natural pause in the timer at the end of the rinse cycle the timer is bad.
