"Internal Battery"...?! In the cartridge?! Surely NOT in the printer. It's an OfficeJet PRO K8600.

Remove the internal battery for a few hours, maybe overnight. Replace the battery with the expired ink cartridge installed and it should print.

You can't. Cartridges have a date bomb built in, they may be expired.

Bypass expired message cartridge. Cartridge is less than six months old & nearly full.

Hi,

Every cartridge will have its own ID and Expiry date, please check the Cartridge expiry date, if its really expired then printer will reject it even-though the cartridge is full.

We cannot bypass cartridge errors for single cartridge in INK-JET printer, because they work in TIJ technology (Thermal Ink Jet) which needs all cartridges to be functional unlike Laser-jet printers.

Supply expired

Printer-inks have a "for-best-results-use-this-cartridge-before-MONTH-YEAR". Is that what you mean as "expired" ??

Or, do you mean that the ink-cartridges are now empty, and need to be refilled or replaced?

Says Black ink supply expired. Installed new

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

It say supply expired change color ink i put brand new cartridge still saying the same thing

One possible problem is that the new cartridge has an expired date. According to the manuel, the printer cannot use an expired cartridge. Check the date on the cartridge. Good luck. I am hoping to get a refund from Staples because I bought an expired cartridge.

Officejet d135 - "Supply Expired" error message

HP, in order to sell more ink, monitors the expiration date of the cartridges installed. Solution is either to buy a new unexpired cartridge from HP or to disable the date monitoring built in to the printer. This latter is done by removing the button cell located inside the D135 printer on the left hand side or by simply slipping a thin piece of plastic between button cell and metal contact. You will no longer have date function on printer, but it won't object to expired cartridges either.

Refilled ink cartridges

The reason why the printer says supply expired because the ink cartridge has its own warranty. When the warranty of the ink cartridge has expired then you will get that message. Eventhough you refill it. You need to replace the ink cartridge itself.

Hp printer 7110

hi,

Try to remove the black ink cartridge. From there, you can check the expiry date of the Ink cartridge. If its already expired, then you need to use another black ink cartridge that is not yet expired.

Thank you so much.

Supply expired

So many models. Does this model have printheads under the ink carts? If so, remove the print head and clean the jets with a damp Bounty paper towel. Fold the towel up a few times and blot the head into it a few times to clean out the dries ink.
